Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[8] • Location:[5]

  • Nothing.
  • Old, dirty, grimy.

“The hotel was old and I it just felt dirty. I think the hotel staff is doing all they can they just don't have a whole lot to work with.”

  • The location was great! Right off of the exit.
  • We had to get our keys reprogrammed.

“Overall, it is a nice hotel for the price. Good location right off of the exit and near the mall and eateries. We did have to have our keys reprogrammed a few times but it may have been partly our fault because I had the key near my cell and we were informed this could have caused the problem. I was charged twice for my stay and I believe it was due to front desk staff not being aware of check-out procedures.”

  • The staff was excellent.
  • I could have gotten a much cheaper price by calling direct.

“It is a good place to stay enrooted to your final destination.”

  • Very friendly staff.
  • A/c was not working properly.

“Enjoyed everything except that the a/c went out in the middle of the night and got very hot in the room.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[5] • Location:[1]

  • The night manager was very nice.
  • Everything else.

“It had bugs in the room, the sink had a big crack in it, the electrical outlet next to the sink was cracked and as such, an electrical hazard, the lobby smelled strongly of cockroach spray, and there was a large quantity of broken glass in the parking lot in the rear of the hotel. Charming and there is more.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[1] • Location:[7]

  • Nothing.
  • Poor customer service. Rooms smell musky.

“This room normally goes for 63.00 dollars a night. You can do the math and see who got the deal there. Front desk clerk was rude. I called ahead of time and spoke to a clerk about getting double beds in each room. When we arrived the front desk clerk stated that I did not call. She said that there were no double beds available for over three weeks now. After arguing for about ten minutes, she found where I had called. She then gave us two rooms with double beds. Imagine that. They hadn't had any available for three weeks?”

Cleanliness:[8] • Location:[8]

  • It was convenient to restaurants and the highway.
  • The outside needed some work.

“This hotel was close to the highway and to restaurants and shops. It was clean and had a swing set and pool for the kids. The outside needs work, but the inside was very nice.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[10] • Location:[3]

  • Nothing, other than the staff was very friendly.
  • Very old and outdated.

“This hotel desperately needs a makeover. The outside definitely shows its age. Breezeways and elevator looked like they hadn't been cleaned in several years. Room was not comfortable and needed major renovation as well. Also we heard too much noise from the highway during the night.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[1] • Location:[5]

  • Nothing.
  • It was disgusting and I checked out immediately.

“I refused to allow myself or my children to stay in such a sub-standard hotel. I am still trying to get my money back. I ended up spending money to pay for a decent hotel.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[5]

  • Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean facility.
  • Very old, switched rooms twice because of wet carpet in first room then again because bed was so old and low you could feel the springs.

“The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is somewhat old and we had to switch rooms twice because of water leak in the first room and the bed in second room was extremely old and uncomfortable. Also, there was no 'white noise' (air conditioner was old and barely blew air) and you could hear almost everything going on outside. The cleanliness and wonderful staff made the stay bearable.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[3] • Location:[8]

  • Location only.
  • Bed, damaged iron, air condition.

“Air conditioner did not work in first room. Had to transfer rooms at 10pm. 2nd room, I had to call again on the 3 night; air conditioner was not working again. Beds are like sleeping on the floor. Rooms were dirty. Shower had splatters of dirt on the walls. Iron had something stuck on it. It stuck to my pants while ironing and put a hole in them. I am very upset over my stay. I called best western. They were supposed to reimburse me 1 night stay, which does not compensate for replacing my pants. ”

  • It is very quiet and convenient and a great value for the price.
  • We had a problem with the door and the lady was a little harsh about it, but it worked out in the end.

“This hotel is very convenient to restaurants and the perfect driving distance to Wild Adventures. We found everything to be clean and well taken care of. We will definitely stay at this motel again.”

  • Location.
  • The beds were awful and the breakfast was disappointing.

“The rooms were clean but the furnishings were less than desirable. The property was well maintained, but the breakfast wasn't very impressive, nor was the staff attending to it. I guess this property would be fine for student groups, but I don't think the adults would be impressed.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • It was convenient, hotel staff was very friendly, great pool.
  • Fire ants around swing set, older hotel, nonsmoking room smelled of smoke.

“Friendly staff, convenient to Wild Adventures, very family friendly. For value I would go there again, it was fine but no extras- no in room movies, etc.”

  • Staff went out of there way for me.
  • Great facilities, all where closed. No bar, no entertainment.

“King of The Road has been around a long time. For a motel, its clean and has good facilities. It located close to everything in the area. Good stay for the money.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[4] • Location:[7]

  • Close to interstate and eating.
  • Our a/c was broke and someone was selling drugs next store to us and kept knocking all night.
