“This hotel was a nightmare. Room smelled badly of Ammonia cleaner and cigarette smoke. Switched rooms because of plumbing issue. Found cigarette smoke and ammonia smell again as well as found cigarette butts in bath tub. Woken up at 6AM to a fight between hotel clerk and boyfriend over phone. She was shouting loudly enough for her voice to carry. Never again will I go to this hotel”

“Although I had difficulty finding the location and was mistakenly assigned a hotel room that was preoccupied by another patron, my hotel experience was otherwise pleasant. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel because it was close to the airport, had a small kitchenette, and friendly staff to assist with my needs.”

“It was a nice hotel really close to the metro Detroit airport. You can get here from Ann arbor by paying $l0 on an airport bus (to the airport)>they have a shuttle bus to the hotel (upon request.).”

“It is beautifully appointed and furnished with more than adequate furniture and comfort. I would even agree to go there again but. On this particular visit which was for the purpose of pampering myself, away from my regular daily stresses, as I stood naked, ready to take a comfortable and refreshing shower, the fire alarm sounded! I had to forego my shower, and my respite, because clearly this intrusion on the purpose of my being there was distressing! I dressed, packed my things, and hurried past the registration desk, dropping my room key there and announcing the room number to the clerk. I passed the fire department coming in as I exited. I could not deal with that level of additional stress just when I was seeking alleviation of my already existing stresses!”

“We just needed somewhere clean to stay & we were very impressed with ESA. We had never stayed their before. We usually stay at super 8 however we will try to stay at ESA now. We are retired so we just look for clean places that don't break our pocketbooks.”

“The facility was much nicer than the last ESA I stayed in. All the rooms were recently redone and they look it. The new carpeting also feels good on the feet.”

“If you just want a place to sleep and all, this hotel is fine. I found the hotel to be clean. The staff was helpful when I got lost and helped me get back to the hotel. I was very unhappy though that I could not check in before 3pm. I had to stay in a hotel in Auburn Hills the day before I came to this hotel because of their policy or I would have spent my entire 4 days in Detroit at this hotel. This hotel would not even hold my bags like a lot of hotels do. Very disappointing aspect.”

“I was greeted by friendly staff upon walking in the hotel. The front desk agent recommended places to eat and even called me in my room to make sure everything was satisfactory. The next day I proceeded to check out at 11 am. I needed a ride to the airport and I was asked what time my flight was. When I told the agent that my flight was not until 7 pm he suggested that I stay in my room until a later time so that I would not have to wait at the airport very long.”
