• Nice to stay during tournament.
• Rude staff.

“Stayed there during the Alpena "B" Classic pool tourney. Overall, the building itself was ok but the staff was both rude and not at all helpful. Oh, and the Hitler youth, security people? I thought they had to be kidding! I realize you'd like folks to buy the hotels beverages but security to stop the consumption of "store bought" drinks? Seems to me, you wouldn't do that at other times of the year so why only during tournaments? Quite the disappointment.”

• The pool was clean.
• Everything but the pool.

“Well their was mold in the room wallpaper falling down, the bathroom vent didn't work, the windows did not open, room felt dirty, staff was rude, lobby and halls had a smell that wasn't nice, if I had a choice to stay there again, I would sleep in my car.”

• It was like stepping back in time, say - 1956!
• For being a holiday inn, it really need a face lift!

• Nice open public area.
• Quiet time in public area was not until 11:00pm. I think that is too late.

• Location and ease of wireless internet access
• Nothing.

“This hotel was in a very convenient location with dining amenities right there at your hotel. There were great amenities for children. A very large indoor pool, hot tub and game room. This is definitely the best hotel in the area.”

• Had a very nice breakfast in the restaurant.
• The room was chilly and the thermostat was turned as high as it could go.

“This was an excellent value. We especially enjoyed the pool after 10:00 NO KIDS and the sauna. All in all we had an enjoyable stay.”

• Small pets stay free.
• No continental breakfast offered.

“We enjoy the Holiday Inn and Holidome very much. We really like that our family dog can stay with us for free. That is a huge bonus! And why we never stay any place else. A continental breakfast would be nice, but not a problem for us that they don't have one. There are fast food restaurants as well as other nicer restaurants if you choose for breakfast. ”

• Across from a great little nature preserve.
• No continental breakfast or newspaper. Very little local information.

“The place itself was fine, the location good, easy to find. The services offered were not quite what we are used to: helpfulness, resources...brochures or information on local attractions, etc.”
