• The pool looked refreshing.
• Construction, initial front desk clerk not very pleasant.

“I did not think that this was the best hotel for the price and the time of the season. We traveled in March. This time the hotel was under construction and we did not know this upon arrival, the initial front desk clerk was short and snippy, the outside of the building was a bit worn down and the maid entered our room after we left to go out for some sight-seeing after we clearly told her that we just needed towels. The room was clean and the pool looked inviting.”

• The maid was very attentive, when asked for something, she always provided.
• The beds were too hard, very uncomfortable.

“It was under construction, but I think when it is done it will be nice. The beds need to be charged, they were too hard and very uncomfortable.”

• We loved the Jacuzzi and the fireplace.
• The people next to us had kids too loud.

• No traffic noise.
• Beds were old style-little hard.

“This is a traditional 1970's Holiday Inn. Probably rated 2.5 stars because of restaurant, pool, etc. Not a bad place to stay but not a new motel with new decor. I was satisfied for the money spent. Everything adequate. No major complaints.”

• Excellent breakfast buffet with friendly and competent wait staff.
• Under construction currently but I'm sure that will pay off.

• A fireplace as soon as one enters the hotel.

“Staff was not friendly. Beds and pillow's resemble those found in a cheap motel. We could hardly sleep at night.”

• Conveniently located to all attractions.
• Dogs allowed which barked all night.

“Front desk staff very friendly and helpful with directions and advice. Pool and arcade was nice for kids. Close to dolly wood.”

• The rooms were comfortable and they had a nice pool area.
• Did not like the fact pets were allowed and the walls are a little thin (noisy).

• Safe location, close to tube station.
• Unfriendly, unhelpful staff at reception desk.

“The hotel staff at reception desk were unfriendly and unhelpful, very long lines for check in and denied early check in. My room was very noisy due to rail road tracks right in front of my room, but I was unable to change rooms due to hotel being full. The air-conditioning was not working properly until I called and complained about it.”

• Mattress was sagging.

“We were told they only had smoking room for us, so we traded with a stranger who wanted smoking room but was told they only had non smoking room. Mattress needed to be replaced; they were old and saggy in middle.”

“This hotel was in desperate need of updating. Our bathroom door was falling apart. Wallpaper coming off the walls. Needs a lot of work. Location was nice. Pool was nice, probably the nicest part of the trip.”

“Very old holiday inn, it was clean, but wow, it needs a serious make over, the bath tub was very old, and the doors, wood was torn off the door.”

• Large room.
• This hotel needs updating and cleaning. The pool was mold ridden.

“The large room was a plus. The bed was hard and therefore we didn't sleep well. This Holiday Inn had many guests that received complimentary rooms from timeshare companies, so there were a lot of undesirable characters around the property. We definitely would not stay at this particular Holiday Inn again, nor recommend it to anybody.”

“I had expected that holiday inn would be a good hotel to stay at. I was wrong. Our room (530) was complete with water stains on the ceiling and on a lamp in the room. One of the two beds had metal sticking out that we had to cover up with a towel so we wouldn't get hurt. There was a wallpaper patch on the wall that was starting to come off. When we checked in we were told that you had to swipe your card to get to the fifth floor. This was true but it was only the fifth floor that you needed to swipe for. I think it may have to do with the fact that the fifth floor is seems to be overlooked when it comes to cleanliness. This was the most disappointing hotel stay I have ever had. A super8 would of been better then the holiday inn!”

• It was a nicer hotel for a lower price.
• I didn't like the beds. They were only full size beds.
