  • Didn't like anything!
  • Hated everything.

“This place was beyond horrible! Anyhow, we got there and the guy asked us if we wouldn't mind down-grading because they were one Jacuzzi suite short. We walked to our hotel room, the halls were filthy! There were cigarette butts all over, carpet remnants all over, doors wide open for just anyone off the streets to walk into. There was a horrible musty smell. We get into our hotel room. The Jacuzzi tub still had about an inch of water left in it. There was unfinished wood trim around the sliding patio door that was full of mold. The patio door didn't even open. There were spider webs or dirty cobwebs in the ceiling. Instead of trim along the bottom of the walls they had dirty carpet remnants just stapled to the wall. Then there was a big hole in the wall covered with wall paper, I pushed it with my toes and a huge black spider crawled out! Then we looked at the sheets and they were on inside out, probably dirty! It was just beyond disgusting! We said we'd rather sleep in the car. We ended up getting lucky and getting a room across the street at Comfort Inn. The staff wasn't so bad.”

  • Convenience
  • Upkeep was shabby.

“Our room looked like and afterthought. Like they decided to add a wing and used the exterior roof for the ceiling.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[5] • Location:[9]

  • Pool.
  • Looked and smelled dirty.

“Everything in the room looked dirty and the fixtures in the bathroom were chipping and pealing. There looked to be mold in the tile grout. We had to have them move us to a different room. The second room was a little better but not much. The hallways smelled musty. I didn't like the idea of having to walk outside to use the pool next door. We go to Ann Arbor for the NASCAR races in Aug, every year. We will never stay at that Days Inn again.”

  • Price.
  • Older motel. Just not as clean as it could be.

“Older motel. Comments from others who stayed there previously made me feel uncomfortable with our safety. The AAU Junior Olympics athletics were staying at the motel while we were there and they were all well behaved.”

  • Dirty and unsafe.

“Some of the upfront rooms are ok but the back rooms are sleazy and dirty. Eventually they moved my room to the front of the hotel.”

  • The pillows weren't too bad.
  • Dirty, exercise room - very hot, no air, machines didn't work.

“This hotel was so bad. The room was dirty; one of the days housekeeping didn't make up room at all. Both exercise rooms were dirty, very hot and the machines were broken. This was pointed out to the staff, they did nothing.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[3] • Location:[5]

  • They had a microwave and refrigerator.
  • Tub was not clean, long hair found in tub.

“This hotel needs to be remodeled. There is no elevator and I was on the second floor. I have bad knees and had to suffer trying to get my luggage up and down the stairs. They need to clean it up more.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[5] • Location:[5]

  • Close to freeway.
  • Water leaks in bathroom, electrical sockets did not work.

“Staff could care less that we knew where the room was on check-in or where the closest parking was. Trucks were parked in and across car slots while the truck lot was almost empty.”

  • In spite of difficulties, stuff tried to be helpful, they just did not have much to work with, I appreciate the effort though.
  • No organization whatsoever, manager not reachable.

“Dirty, generally unpleasant experience (broken shower, no hot water, had to stay in a different hotel on a couch of a family member's suite the first night, until moved to a different room for the rest of my stay (2 more nights). No response from the manager to my phone calls and messages.”

  • Nothing.
  • People in the hallways were begging for money.

“I thought that this hotel was horrible. The staff left the doors opens to allow people of the street into the facility, there were people begging for money in the hallways, fights, and way too many things to name. It was an unbelievably horrible experience.”

  • A Days Inn for $65 is a get what you pay for. The Supper 8 in Mt Pleasant (our last stay) was head and shoulders better.

“That place look as if bums and drug dealers should live there so we left and did not stay. It is not a family place at all.”

  • The waffles were good.
  • No syrup.

“Two of the three lamps were not working in the room. The hair dryer was also no operational, and the room had a musty smell. I usually stay at Days Inn, and this one was rather low quality.”

  • Our accommodations were close to our main attraction.
  • The room could was esthetically challenged to say the least.

“The Days Inn Ann Arbor is a place to rest your weary head for a short period of time. As long as you're only looking for a place to sleep it can do the job.”

  • The continental breakfast was very good.
  • The hotel was not clean, hallways were dirty and smelled bad.

“In all the years of travel I have done I was very close to walking out (for the first time) the first room had to be checked and I found the waster did not work to the bath or Jacuzzi. In the second room half of the lights did not work and the in room frig did not work and had standing water in it. On the good side there was plenty of hot water. The TV channel selection was poor (no fan ).”

  • Staffs were friendly.
  • Lamp shade has spider webs, wall electric socket falling apart and bathroom tub not working.

“The room was dirty, worn-out sheets and linens. Lamp shades covered with spider webs! Bathroom tub drainage less than efficient. Overall, a disappointing experience!”

  • Retro 1970s décor.
  • Definitely a long time since remodeled.

“Time-warp to a 1970s la chateau if there is or ever was such a thing, but decent overall.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[1] • Location:[3]

  • Nothing, worst experience of my life.
  • Trash all over the place, drug needles in the grass, and 4" of scummy soap water in the "hot tub" - maid service did not even show up one day.

“I will save it for the Days Inn Franchise office - that place should simply be torn down. I am not kidding, beyond disgusting but we had nowhere else to go. And we did not need the second room, but they refused to refund the dollars even though they sold the hotel out for the football game. Last time I ever book online with you guys.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[6] • Location:[9]

  • Convenient location.
  • Stale smell in room, moldy bathroom grout.

“Lengthy wait to check in, one clerk with multiple check in and phone call. Accosted at the front door by ethnic religious group, hotel clerk was also talking to them. I understand this is an older hotel but repairs and/ or updates were not done well.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • Convenient location.
  • Sub-standard condition of the room.

“The Days Inn Ann Arbor needs serious upgrading - light bulbs were out, TV remote was not correct model for the TV set, smoke detector battery died and was beeping, curtains were dirty and shabbily hung. The overall hotel structure seemed safe and sound, and the housekeeping was excellent. But even for a one-star hotel, it seemed in sub-standard condition.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[7] • Location:[5]

  • It was very convenient to the highway and thus to lots of locations.
  • It felt a bit unsafe and another guest had some items stolen while we were there.

“Not the greatest, but if you need to save money it's totally fine. I would not recommend it to a family with small children or children who are hard to keeps tabs on because there is not much to do for them and the area is a bit unsafe. So long as you are a smart traveler (locking doors and things) it's not a problem, but sometimes it's hard for kids to understand the need. The continental breakfast was actually pretty good though and the bed was comfortable.”
