“I wish I knew what the man's name was that helped me out when I called and was frantic because I was lost (04/18/08 10:30pm)! He was so knowledgeable and knew exactly where I was and how to get to the hotel from there! I was lost in Downtown Knoxville and could not get out! He stayed on the phone with me until I got back on the highway and knew where I was again! He was great! I tell everyone about this!”

“Functional hotel for someone who needs a place to sleep but doesnt care about freeway noise, dirty bathrooms, or the previous guest's belongings left between the sheets on one of the two double beds. Dried blood on the wall adjacent to the bathtub was also a negative in my book. This property reflects very poorly on the La Quinta brand, which I have usually known to be one of the better mid-range hotels.”

“The hotel was fine. It was the noise on a Friday and Sat. night I had to complain about and it wasn't taken care of right away. But the front desk was nice even though I had to call twice. I'm in my 50's and I like to party but I like to respect other peoples rest as well.”

“Old Laquinta in a good location. Access is limited. Exterior is dated, but rooms are spacious and clean. Cable is limited - more stations available at a Super 8. Breakfast is typical LaQuinta (cereal and make your own waffle) - no newspapers and limited availability of purchasable papers. I have stayed here three times in the last 4 months and nothing has changed.”

“People should recognize this is a "down and out" hotel; no indoor corridors. This totally affected our experience. Between 12 and 1 pm a loud group of thoughtless people were loud and noisy and walking on the outdoor corridor above our room. We won't be staying again.”

“The hotel was fine for a la quinta. I needed a hotel with business center/printer capabilities -- this did not have. TV channel selection was terrible--too many sports and home shopping channels, not enough basics like.”

“Internet didn't work all week and the staff had no idea how to fix it. Also, I was put into a smoking room for the week after being told I'd have a non-smoking room. The tub was clogged and after a shower a foot of water would be in the tub.”

“Hotel was very easy to find, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, the room was quiet and well cleaned (there was a half-eaten cookie in one of the night-stand drawers though). Other than the non-working bathroom vent fan, the room was as good if not better than described. I plan to stay there on my next trip to Knoxville. Thanks for the recommendation on the restaurant, she was dead-on accurate about it!”

“Overall we had a nice experience at this hotel. The continental breakfast was the best we've ever experienced. The hotel offered an excellent variety of breakfast foods and drinks. The only complaints I have are the parking is not the greatest and we had a smoking room because non-smoking was not available to us. Yuck!”
