• It was convenient to the park we were visiting.
• The lobby wasn't big enough to accommodate the morning breakfast crowd.

“This hotel was very reasonably priced and family friendly (we were visiting a nearby theme park). We loved the breakfast bar and waffle machine as well as the pool-which was clean. The rooms were clean enough (average at best) with plenty of towels and pretty (newer) decor. The hotel was packed with families and youth groups so if you want quiet, try somewhere else. It was perfect for us, however since my son had plenty of friends to swim with. But breakfast was packed so get up early to beat the crowded lobby!”

• It had free breakfast although the selection was lacking.
• Staff wasn't too quick on coming to check us in or out.

“We loved the fact that it had and indoor pool we have a young child but when we got there it was closed. We wish we had known before hand we would have switched hotels.”

• In-room high speed internet access.
• The bathroom sink was outside the room, right in the doorway.

“Nice perks - high speed internet access and good breakfast. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Would definitely return for the price.”

• They cancelled our original reservation.

“Hotel and rooms were what we expected for the price. Rooms were clean. Had to ask for more than the 2 towels since there were 3 people. We were switched to 3 different rooms over our 4 day stay. Room 1 was to get us out of smoking, room 2 was not cleaned, and room 3 had a leak in the ceiling. On their defense, it was a very busy weekend. We still enjoyed our vacation.”

• The brightness and cleanliness of the room, new furniture and bedding, great breakfast with Belgian waffles!
• Crowded dining room. There were sports teams registered during our stay.

“We were pleasantly surprised by the newness of this hotel. The room decor and cleanliness were excellent, the hallways bright and clean and the breakfast had many choices, including Belgian waffles! We had a very restful night and look forward to staying at the la Quinta in the future!”

• I like that the pool was open late. The breakfast was great.

“I was disappointed when I got there and the lady in front of me that just walked in off the street got the exact same room as I did for $15 less. That is the only bad experience of the whole trip.”

“Even though we had a non-smoking room, it was constantly filled with smoke from smoking rooms on the same floor. The smell of smoke was so thick it woke me up at night. Yuck.”

• I liked the front desk person, he seemed genuinely happy to see my family.
• The cleaning people did not do a good job cleaning the room did not change linens even though I requested it.

“The hotel was ordinary. That's fine, but when I put the card on the pillow stating I want the linens changed I expect them to be changed. There were some sunflower seed shells on the floor before we left for an outing and they were still there after the cleaning people "cleaned" the room. I lifted the covers of the bed assuming to have clean sheets, I saw more sunflower shells. I asked everyone in my party if they had any sunflower seeds that day and they all said no. Even though this was a basic hotel, I had no problem with it until I discovered this.”

• Clean room, close to Kings Island and restaurant.
• Very dirty Pool, maid stole $150 from my room.

“This hotel would have been perfect if it weren't for the not swim able dirty pool and the fact that the maid stole $150 from my room. Beware keep your money in your car or on your person when staying at this hotel.”

• The staff was friendly and the facilities were very clean.
• Breakfast was only served until 9 am. For summer travelers 10 am would have been better.

“Upon entering the hotel, the staff greeted us with a smile. Everything in the hotel was extremely clean and odor free. The continental breakfast was well supplied and had a wide variety of foods.”
