• The hotel was a tribute to Frank Lloyd Wright. The design and furnishings were well done.
• The room did not have a refrigerator.

“Our first impression was very positive. We were immediately impressed with the huge main gathering area in wood and stone and decorated in the manner of Frank Lloyd Wright. Our room was comfortable, nicely furnished, and bright with large windows.”

• I liked that parking was free.
• Fixtures seemed dated and dingy.

“This is a nice hotel if you are looking for price value around the Emory campus area. We went looking for a relaxing, romantic getaway but did not get it (could not get room temperature right, beds weren't comfortable, toilet flushing was loud). I will say for the hotel that amenities like room service and internet are lower than the price of the hotel.”

• The carpets were very clean, the lobby level had a mountain lodge feel.
• The room was a little small, didn't have much room to walk after setting up the portable crib we brought with us.

“We were disappointed, there was not a continental breakfast included, but they have a restaurant. The garden area was beautiful and a great treat to look out our window and see. My children loved looking at the Coi in the pond swimming around and also the pool, which was a great depth for the children. The overall park like setting was like a mini retreat in the city. The staff had map quest directions printed out already for the game at the GA dome, which was a nice touch.”

• Safe location.
• Got billed for room service that we didn't order or receive. Was able to get it resolved though.

“Very nice facilities. Great location near Emory University. Very safe area.”

• The location and the lobby area--warm and inviting.

“We have gone to the Emory Conferenc Center on more than one occasion. Location is perfect for us. Very nice and in an area of Atlanta that we enjoy. Lobby is very big and there are many places for reading and relaxing both inside and out. Great workout room and pool.”

• The staff at the front desk was exceptional.
• The hostess at the restaurant had a bad attitude.

“For an older hotel, it was well maintained. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there.”

• Location was great.
• The room was supposed to be smoke free but it smelled extremely bad like someone had just smoked.

“The hotel is in a nicely wooded setting but still very close to the Emory district. It is easy to get in and out of and is near many eating and entertainment facilities.”

• The hotel location was beautiful. The views from the comfortable room were great!
• The bathroom door was oddly positioned in relationship to the shower curtain rod. It was impossible to have two people in the bathroom at once.

“We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel location and grounds were beautiful, and the common areas were so spacious and had a lodge like feel. We had a large room, with a king sized bed that was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family. I am also glad we choose this hotel rather than the Emory inn, which is not really an inn, but more like a motel.”

• Scenic setting and beautiful, soothing decor.
• Bathrooms tiny, no water pressure, cleanliness of bathroom floor questionable. TV remote barely worked.

“I accepted the room keys to the other establishment, but went to the business center to review my confirmation. When I reviewed it, it clearly stated that my reservation was for the Emory Conference Center Hotel, not the Emory Inn. I printed out the confirmation and took it back to the front desk. They were surprised and somewhat lackluster about honoring the reservation at the Hotel. They did, but very reluctantly. I definitely felt slighted, and somewhat defensive. Needless to say, I hope the error is fixed so that no one else will have to suffer the embarrassment of being told that his reservation was not good enough for the Emory Conference Center Hotel.”
