• The location was great, and the staff was great.
• The additional fees were annoying. I can understand paying $24 a night for parking, but the $13 internet fee per night was ridiculous.

“Paying for internet use was really disappointing, and we had some sour towels in the room which was a surprise. The hotel sports bar was nice though, and I got an excellent mojitos.”

“Employees were not attentive in restaurants and bars. Waited at both once and left because no service. Deposit for incidentals still not returned 13 days later. Not able to use pool, spa or steam room due to remodeling.”

• Wonderful amenities.
• Slow valet parking.

“This hotel was amazing. The rooms were spacious and expertly appointed. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The restaurants located inside the hotel were very good.”

• The view was amazing and the room was very spacious.
• The carpet in the room is outdated and I think we should have an option as to whether we want to Valet park or not.

“The view was great! I was on the 36th floor. The location was convenient to everything. The room was large and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly, and whatever I asked for I received and they double-checked that I received it promptly. The decor in the room is outdated, carpet, but other than that the stay was fantastic.”

• The inside was magnificent.
• The valet parking was a trap. You have to pay for it, then tip and it is a total gridlock w/ the conventions going on and the reg. Guests.

“It was beautiful and pretty clean but they trap you into using valet parking for 24 dollars. So if you want to leave you have to wait up to an hour sometimes to get your car in a long line under the hotel with car fumes so you're late if you have reservations, etc. Then you are expected to tip the valet parkers. Because it's a Convention Center you never know when they will let out so the people from the conventions and the regular hotel guests have to wait a long time to get their car. What a nightmare! People were really angry!”

• Convenient Downtown location, pleasant valet staff, nice rooms with a very comfortable bed.
• $24 valet parking.

“A nice Downtown hotel with a good location for our event at the Georgia Dome. Expensive parking but fast and efficient valet staff with in and out privileges. Ordinary rooms with great beds. Clean and comfortable. Our room had no view from the 3rd floor. For some reason, it was a handicap room.”

“This hotel was centrally located in Downtown Atlanta. We ate at the High Velocity; it was great, beautiful atmosphere. The bed was so comfortable I did not want to come home! The staff was very helpful. Awesome bar. Will be back!”

• Nice to have a good variety of good restaurants located in the hotel.
• Everything was perfect.

“We typically stay at the Ritz when we are in downtown Atlanta. We loved the Marriott Marquis's location and service. Nice to have a variety of good food and drink options located in the hotel. We will absolutely stay there again.”

• Comfortable bed & pillows - very clean.
• Noise all night from the atrium - low flow on shower.

“We enjoyed our stay and it was great. We were disturbed throughout the night with loud noises from the atrium, a convention at the hotel. Overall very pleased with the hotel.”

“The hotel was completely adequate for the business traveler. A few surprises no wireless in the room, only wired internet, old tube TV, construction in the lobby.”

• The hotel was clean and well maintained.
• The confusion on getting your car, it took over 45 minutes.

“The hotel is located in Downtown and was easy to get to from the xway. I was able to ask for an upgrade and received a great room. The only thing was the air conditioner made this consistent noise all night. There are no stores nearby so you were at the mercy of the high prices of the restaurants and little store.”

• Accommodations were very pleasant. Staff was courteous.
• Some staff was not knowledgeable about some of the hotel positions, i.e. Marriott rewards for my stay and security lost and found. Parking is a problem.

“A very pleasant experience. The room although recently renovated was absolutely calming. The decor of the hotel is well done. Too bad, some of the water features were not activated due to the drought conditions in Atlanta, otherwise they were very good. Need more in hotel restaurant selection though.”

• Small bath, street noise.

“Restaurant Breakfast Buffet was good and convenient. I was on 6th floor, lots of street noise. They did not invest in very soundproof glass. Rooms were spacious, baths a little small. There is a Mortons 1/2 block away. Take taxis at night if you are walking far. Many aggressive street people.”
