  • The holiday party that was to end at midnight went till 1pm and noise (yelling) echoed up to 5th floor.

“I might have not gambled on this one after learning there were 2 parties and about 200 people in attendance if I had not prepaid. But, they did tell us on check in (still could not change, but, could try to brace ourselves) and it only ran about an hour past the supposed cutoff. The hotel staff and rooms were wonderful and perfect for that not crowded feeling. This was our second stay at a doubletree that had recently been remodeled and loved them both. (The other was in Utah).”

  • Construction, bar tender barely able to disguise his snootiness.

“The positive is the hotel is located in a centralized area. The negatives are: The bar is a makeshift table in the atrium with no seating. I was charged $12.00 for a Martini and $6.00 for a beer with no place to sit and enjoy them. The bartender with his comments on other entertainment establishments was offensive in the way he presented them and was barely able to mask his snootiness with a facade of smiles and apologizes. There is construction going on which makes for a noisy day. Forget trying to sleep in. The sound proofing between rooms and out in the atrium is something to be desired. There were two elevators unfortunately one was out of service and the hotel was booked which made getting up and down from the 7th floor somewhat challenging. I had reserved a smoking room and when I called room service to ask for an ashtray in the room I was informed the hotel was now a non-smoking hotel through out. I used the $12.00 Martini glass thank you very much. I will say that once the renovations are completed this should be a very nice looking hotel. But I would not recommend this hotel for travelers during this renovation phase. Especially those travelers not wanting to have to listen to banging and sawing early in the morning.”

  • Not fond of feather pillows.

“This hotel was great. Close to the freeway and many places to eat. Staff was very friendly. A wonderful stop for the price!”

  • The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.
  • The check in time was 4:00 pm was not able to check in until 7:00.

“This hotel was very good. The staff was nice and helpful but, do not expect to check in at the 4:00 pm like specified. Housekeeping was very slow cleaning the room (if you are checking in on the weekend) and they did not communicate with front desk once they were finished cleaning the room. Other than that this was a really nice hotel.”

  • Location! Size of rooms.
  • Seemed shabby and worn are renovating as of now.

“The overall experience was fine, but the furniture in the room was dirty and worn. I understand they are in through process of renovating all the rooms. Should be fantastic when completed.”

  • Excellent staff. Friendly service e, above expectations. Bedding should be five star rated.
  • Furniture in sitting area furniture seemed a bit on the low end side of the scale.

  • Staff was polite. Our stay was satisfactory. No problems.
  • Renovations in progress. The room we stayed in was not renovated but was in need of updating.

“Overall was a good deal for the price I paid. The hotel needs the renovations as the wall paper was pealing in several locations and the overall condition of the hotel was slightly below a 3 star hotel rating. However, the service and amenities were deserving of the 3 star rating. The renovations being made did not cause any problems. Parking near the entrance was limited.”

  • Rooms are suites.
  • Needs some upgrading.

“Rooms are a bit tired. Wall paper peeling, slow drain in bath. Old/loose fixtures. Fold out couch was worn out and couldn't open/close. They put us in smoking rooms at check in, but were good about switching. I've never had someone put me in smoking unless they specifically pointed it out as the only available.”

  • A wonderful bed and nice appointments.
  • Room service food was cold.

“Not enough staff to work the front desk. I waited 3 hrs for service and they said the hotel was not near full but the next night a big wedding was about to take place.”

  • Need free Internet and noisy at night (room close to pool).

“Everything is OK. But I would prefer free Internet And it was too much noise in the first couple nights from the pool.”

  • We just used it for an overnight visit. Nice accommodations.
  • Only thing I didn't like was the fact that I received a smoking room.

  • Great hotel at a wonderful price. Can't wait to do it again.
  • The ceiling in the foyer was leaking on us a bit during breakfast.

“I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone. It was decorated to be reminiscent of New Orleans, (pre-Katrina of course). It is a great place to stay for a romantic weekend or even for business.”

  • Our toddlers loved the Jacuzzi tub. We liked the bedroom suite.
  • Nothing, It exceeded our expectations.

“The lobby was gorgeous, the room was very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable. We all enjoyed the swimming pool in our room (Jacuzzi). It was a great way to relax after driving for many hours. This is a hotel room I would be comfortable staying in for several days - we were just passing through.”

  • I loved the huge Jacuzzi and the king size bed. The location was great.
  • The bedroom could have been larger but it was minor compared to all the other amenities that came with the hotel.
