“Our only disappointment was queen bed instead of king and the hot breakfast was minimal, refrigerator cold hard boiled eggs, no fresh fruit. I have already recommended the hotel to family.”

• It's location right on the beach!
• The musty smell of the room.

“Overall, I was impressed with the hotel. Despite the smell of the room, the room was clean and the beds were comfy! I loved the continental breakfast and the location of the dining room on the beach was awesome!”

• Convenient to everything. We never moved the car.
• View of the water and boat taxi services.

“Spur of the moment booking. Great value. Great location. Just a little "old" around the edges. But clean. The breakfast left much to be desired. but within walking distance to everything.”

• It was a unique hotel for its amazing beach view of the lake.
• The bedding was not cleanly enough. They did not change bed linens between each day we stayed.

“This hotel is good for the price that we paid for it. There is a beach in the back which it shares with other hotels. The room was well above average when it comes to cleanliness and comfort ability. I had no real security or safety concerns about the hotel or the area around it. The one thing that could be changed about the hotel is its continental breakfast, which lacks muffins! There was a nice old lady that served us waffles though.”

• Easy to find, terrific beachfront location, close to ferries, restaurants, and miniature golf.
• Breakfast nook was convenient to the beach but over-crowded and dark.

“Possibly the best value for money of any hotel I have experienced. A lot of the credit goes to Mackinaw overall as a destination. It is like a Disney resort without the long lines, giant parking lots, and stress levels. But this hotel is perfectly positioned at the center of the action without the congestion that you'd experience in a bigger city or resort.”

“A convenient clean place to stay with a wonderful view of the lake and island. The staff was wonderful and the lady who makes the breakfast was the best. The towel shapes on our bed every day were a nice touch! I am planning to return very soon!”

• Balcony looking over lake. Friendly, helpful staff.
• I would like to have tea bags in the room for early morning hot tea.

“Beautifully located on Lake shore. Well maintained and nicely decorated. Continental breakfast includes freshly made waffles. No elevator so if you are on the second/third floor you will have to carry up luggage.”

• The location was very convenient.
• The hours of breakfast were not posted anywhere to easily see.

“The Comfort Inn is in a great location only minutes walk from the ferries to Macinac Island and the town shopping center. It has a beautiful of Lake Huron on one side. The staff is very friendly and courteous The rooms are roomy and clean. The coffee in the room is not star bucks but was as expected for the price. A nice hot breakfast was offered at the neighboring Hampton, although it would have been nice if it would have been in the hotel itself so as to avoid a walk in the rain. And it would have been good to know the hours. All in all though the Comfort Inn is an excellent value for the money. You cannot beat it's location.”
