“When I went to the pool and after talking to others I find out that I was double charged. I was charged $170.64 and was supposed to be charged $93.51. After speaking to the owner, I was told "this is America and he can charge what ever he wants". In addition, I was told that the unit was 1 year old and after commenting on the bad condition of the units I was told that the water park is 1 year old and not the complex. The water park does not seem like 1 years old as most of the items are made out of the rope and the bathrooms where in terrible shape. There was so much chlorine in the park that the water had a lot of foam on it as if someone put soap in it. It smelled so strong and the kids got a rush from it. Water was very cold. All other local motels have an agreement with this motel and all are using this water park which is about 1,000 S.F. I verified this myself. Room had pretzels on the floor under the table from the previous guests. Water adjustments in the shower almost impossible. About the city and the island, there is not much to do unless you are 60 and like antiques. The beaches are un-existent. There is a mosquito season in May.”

• We stayed in one of the suites and it had a separate sitting room, and kitchen, was very comfortable, and pet friendly.
• They had an indoor water park and pool, but they didn't keep their towels stocked.

“It was a very comfortable hotel and was in walking distance to just about any activity that we were interested in doing.”

• Once we got to our room, we found it to be a great surprise very spacious and comfortable.
• We had bicycles with us and it was a nightmare struggling with them in the elevator plus up one flight of stairs to keep them in our room overnight.

“A great value. The room was very comfortable and spacious, the breakfast was decent. One piece of advice: if you have bicycles, a wheelchair, or even a large amount of bags, keep in mind your room may only be accessible by a flight of stairs.”

• They don't offer any kind of breakfast, lunch or dinner.

“In total a good choice to stay in Mackinaw City. You get a very good value for your money, a good location in Mackinaw City but the hotel doesn't provide a restaurant whatsoever.”
