• The room was very clean and stylish, with updated decor inside of rooms, and nice large bathroom.
• Second bed was fold down from wall.

“This was a nice hotel, that looked nice both inside and out. The room was a bit on the small side, especially when we folded down the bed, but second and third floor rooms looked bigger. The furniture was classy, not like the beat up characterless stuff so typical at standard hotels. The bathroom was larger, with a luxurious shower! Lots of hot water, immediately on demand (my wife especially liked the shower head). The breakfast room was on the second floor, so any handicap guests would want to investigate elevator locations prior to stay. But the breakfast was great, fresh waffles, and cereal, or oatmeal, eggs, sausage and bagels. Whatever someone might want. We enjoyed our stay and would return.”

• Convenient to local attractions, & nice well kept beach front.
• That the sections were not connected internally - got wet in rain walking to & from areas.

• Great location, nice room for the price.
• Complimentary breakfast was not very good - very processed food.

“Great location on the beach. The front desk staff members were very helpful and friendly. The staff at breakfast seemed frazzled and aloof.”

• All the buildings were not connected to each other.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Clarion. The continental breakfast actually offered more than we had anticipated. The price was great and very reasonable for the location. Though the Clarion was near the end of the strip of hotels in Mackinaw City, all locations were easily accessible. The room was gorgeous. The view and balcony were well worth the price of the room. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and hope to return again.”

• The staff was so friendly with quick and efficient service!
• You had to walk outside to get to the breakfast room and pool area.

“If I ever return to Mackinaw City, I will absolutely stay in this hotel! I loved our room, the view was great, and the staff was wonderful!”

• Lack of lighting near the pull out sofa.

“The breakfast was very nice. Location next to ferry was good, but a long walk to the shopping. The room was clean and staff friendly. The 2 person hot tub in the room was nothing more than a "bathtub." not worth the extra money. Also, the pull out sofa was back in a corner with no lighting, made it hard to read there.”

• Room smelled and too noisy. I should have been put in more secluded spot.
