• Good Location.
• Dirty rooms/mostly outdated rooms.

“Room excessively small. Room was dirty, bathroom was disgraceful. Beach mostly weeds and no chairs to watch the water. Food was marginal.”

“Location is great and near everything. Staff is pleasant. Room was very small, dirty not well maintained. Beachfront mostly weeds few chairs available to sit and enjoy the water. Room decor and bathroom for the most part dirty, old fashioned and dark. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We have stayed at Mackinaw City before we will not stay at Quality Inn & Suites. This hotel has dampened the reputation of Quality Inn & Suites Choice Hotels.”

• Good location/help is pleasant.
• Old rooms/needed cleaning and updating.

“Room was old and mold in bathroom. Watermarks on the ceiling. Room excessively small. Bathroom outdated, no fan, no GFI outlets in the bathroom. Walls, carpet and room needed good cleaning. Not the standard so we were disappointed. Room dark, bathtub drain plugged, air conditioner not able to keep room cool and was noisy.”

• Worst hotel I have stayed at in years.

“This has to be the worst hotel I have stayed at in a long time. Mold on outside of buildings hasn't been power washed in years. Rooms were old --- no fire sprinklers. Wireless didn't work good. Lady at the office was going to check on it and get back with me. She never did. Breakfast bar food was cheap and did not look appealing and tasted worse. And the shower head was so low that I came to the middle of my back. Light bulbs were burned out in the room. I had to ask to get them changed even though it should have been obvious to the help. Maid service did not come till after 6 PM the evening of our stay over. We had to call the front desk and ask them to clean the room. The office help told us they were behind because they had a full house the previous night. The ladies who came and cleaned were very friendly and pleasant. I feel sorry that the place was so under staffed, they looked like they had put in a full days work. The list goes on, this place was horrible.”

• It was located close to our sight seeing destination.
• Room as small as a cracker box - and extremely rude manager.

“It was a convenient place to stay that was close to our planned days activities. The room was very small, had just enough room to walk around the bed. Air conditioning unit cover was busted and had pieces broken out of it, glad I didn't need it. Manager was rude and had an argument with an employee in the lobby, very unprofessional. I am Sending a complaint to Quality Suites about this Manager as well. No guest should have to listen to that when they are trying to enjoy their vacation.”

• The staffs were all very friendly and upbeat. Very accommodating in many areas including upgrade.
• Beach was very unimpressive.

“The friendliness of the staff made up for anything that may have bothered us otherwise. The price was great. The breakfast was great.”

• The location of our room. The quality of the room.

“The hotel itself was okay. The location of our room was right next to the busy road. The room itself was very small. Would not stay there again.”

• It was on the beach of Lake Huron.
• The toilet seat was cracked, and the Jacuzzi was very loud.

“Proximity to downtown Mackinac City was excellent, and the staff was knowledgeable about the boats to Mackinac Island. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, and check-ion/check-out was very quick. However, there was no CNN Headline news on cable.”

• on the water, but sand does not go down to waterfront
• Did not feel secure, when upon arrival, balcony door was not locked and balcony is shared by all rooms on floor.

“Lakeside room very hotel generic, dresser plain room small. Lakeside balcony was not private, one long balcony shared with all rooms. When we got to room, sliding door to balcony not locked. Breakfast bar was generic very bland, with powdered scrambled eggs. Blah. Go get your own breakfast at a real restaurant.”
