• The pop machine was out of service.

• The location was ideal. I was once stationed in Battle Creek but had business in Jackson, MI.
• The box spring mattress in the room was badly stained.

• Close to freeway.
• This was a race team. We had 4 rooms.

“Restaurant and bar closed due to remodeling. We were not given notice of this nor were we offered a discount.”

• Good location to I-94. Friendly staff.
• They were going through remodeling.

“The room was as clean as we had expected. Breakfast was good. The hotel is run down, but they are going through a remodeling phase. For the price. This was a good place.”

• They switched rooms as a sink was plugged.
• Had to switch rooms.

“I would rate this hotel as a one star hotel. Then it would have met my expectations. The good thing will be they are remodeling so this should help.”

• The front desk person was very nice & helpful. Did have hairdryer, iron, etc.
• small ants in bathroom, not overly clean, breakfast was so-so, pool closed.

“The hotel location is great. Close to Albion college. Not many others recommend the hotel due to bad experiences. It is changing for the better. A little over priced for what you get. Most staff was nice, except a cleaner was crabby.”

• I knew it was not the best hotel but I had stayed there before so I knew what I was getting in to.
• First time I stayed there the room smelled really bad. They gave me another room though and it was OK.

“All the hotels in this area are sub-par. The local college recommended this one and it is OK. If you are unhappy with something you can tell the front desk and they can help you most times. We knew we had to stay somewhere in this area, no matter what. I had stayed here before and had a problem with a smelly room (which they happily exchanged for another room) so I knew that they at least tried to have decent service. The only real problem I had was that the bath tub filled up when I took a shower, which was pretty gross.”

• It was close to the Albion Armory where I was doing my stay for.
• My first room was really bad, my second was alright but it could have been better.

“It didnt have no water, no remote for the TV, toilet was dirty, and no bathtub.”

• Free internet, great staff, and clean facility.
• Shower heads are somewhat painful but effective, coffee in room is nasty.

“If you are looking for a quality, inexpensive place to stay this is it. Sure the showers are painful, the coffee in the room is gross and there is not much of a view. I did not expect to be in a spa. The coffee in the lobby is quite good and the continental breakfast is great. The staff is helpful and the free Wi-Fi is a plus. I have stayed in more expensive, nicer places that charged for internet. I will be back for sure.”

• Quiet.
• Dirty, dingy, I would not want to be a single female staying at this hotel.

“The only thing two star about this hotel was the lobby. It is not a two star hotel as billed. In an emergency this hotel could not be trusted. I believe a refund is in order. Very disappointed! I will never stay there again.”

• Good location, good price, friendly atmosphere.
• Nothing.

“We enjoyed our stay at the Albion Best Western. It was very convenient in traveling to the local college for a football game. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful in giving up directions to local restaurants and to the college. She gave us some recommendations to local restaurants. If we travel to Albion, Michigan in the future, we would definitely stay here.”

• Very poorly kept up, Closed off areas due to holes in carpeting and leaky roof.

• Easy access fro highway, quiet, clean & friendly
• The mattress felt like something from the 1930's!

“Considering the price, I should not complain. However, the quality of the mattress was a minus 10! All else was very, very good.”

• Location was good, easy to get to.
• Shower head delivered extremely fine spray - for 2 feet it would cut you, after that it was mist only.

“Room was OK, with a king size bed, standard desk and chair, TV with remote. Had 20 channels on TV. Shower head was terrible - unusable. The spray was so fine that it hurt to be close and past 2 feet away, it was only mist. Impossible to shower and wash your hair. Continental breakfast was standard donuts, bagels, cereal, and toast. Coffee ran out and no one was attending.”
