  • Heated pool
  • No elevator, room and bathroom were dirty, no table in room

“I paid too much for the room we stayed at. My fault, I selected a 2 star room and forgot to change the bid. I paid more than the posted prices. When I got checked in, I mistakenly went to the wrong room and my key worked in it. There was clothes and someone's laptop on the bed. I closed the door and went to the correct room across the hall and the same key opened my door. I alerted the hotel staff. They looked at it and said they would look into it. I could have gone to the other peoples room at any time. I did not, but if it were someone else?”

  • The views.
  • A very cold room, no heat.

“Our room was neat and clean, the toilet wasn't working quite right until my hubby repaired it. It was also cold in our room the first night, so in the AM my hubby turned up the heat so we could come back to a warm room however, it was freezing, because the heat was not working. We did not know this. We called the front desk and were gladly given a room with heat, it was an upgrade as well. The staff was wonderful and took care of us right away. Our new room was a 5 star suit room with a hot tub, fire place and king size bed. The kindness of the staff was the best ever. So our trip which could have been a huge bust turned out to be one our happiest moments of 2008.”

  • The property is well maintained and quite picturesque.
  • Only thing missing was a complimentary continental breakfast.

“A lovely, well groomed facility that must do a booming business during skiing season. Our room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We stayed in the Edelweiss (sp?) lodge, and I did not recall ever seeing an elevator there. So carrying the luggage up two flights of stairs was a bit cumbersome. Nonetheless, the property is beautiful and there are many things to do there. It is well worth your time to check it out, especially during off season, we practically had the 32 person hot tub to ourselves.”

  • The hotel was really nice and all the things to do were a bonus.
  • Being charged on my credit card.

“The hotel was nice.”

  • The grand lodge is beautiful.
  • The additional rooms I was in smelled so bad I almost just left.

“Be aware of which part of the resort you are staying in.”

  • Had plenty to do.
  • The room we stayed in was unattractive.

“You pull up to the hotel and it's very new and nice. We happened to have a room in the lodge that was on the hill. It was pretty exciting until we got to our room and it was run down, old and not attractive at all. I expected more but maybe they are going to remodel soon.”

  • Comfortable bed.
  • No chair in the room.

“Main hotel very nice, but you won't stay in the main hotel, you will stay in a very old part with no heat and very plain.”

  • Beautiful scenery. Nice size hot tub.
  • Rooms were hot, air did not work. Everything closed too early.

“I'm sure the "better" rooms were quaint but our room was terribly hot, no ventilation, no screens on window or slider to allow us to enjoy the fresh mountain air while we slept.”

  • Central location to several Northern Michigan areas.
  • The building we stayed in is in dire need of renovation; it was clean but showing its age.

“Boyne Mountain is a very complete resort property. The newer Mountain Grand Lodge is an ideal facility for families. The older Clock Tower Lodge where we stayed is in need of some updates and renovation For instance, the room we stayed in had no deadbolt. Overall, the property is clean, maintained, and well appointed, but some of the older buildings could stand to be updated.”

  • The new lodge is beautiful and the water park is great.

“This is certainly a great improvement over previous accommodations we've had at this resort. The new rooms are comfortable and cozy. The water park and skiing make for lots of enjoyment.”

  • The staff was pleasant and it was safe.
  • We were put in a really old room that was very small in the very last facility on the property.

“It might be wonderful if you are a skier or if you are young and want to party. The group outside our facility was drinking to all hours and loud. The accomodations were small and it was very old. It was remodeled, but a face covering was all they did. A bit disappointing”
