• Recently remodeled, clean room.
• Continental breakfast starts late (7am)

“This hotel met our expectations as a low-cost place to sleep. The remodeled room was actually in better condition (and cleaner) than we had expected. The parking lot hadn't been snowplowed recently.”

• Casino shuttle was good.
• Everything about the place.

“Our stay there started off bad when we entered the rooms and there were bugs crawling around in the bathrooms. After we finished bug hunting. We went about our evening and returned later that evening and hung out with friends and family when one of the people in our party went to our other room to call it a night. He turned on the TV and it flashed and smoked and made all kinds of noise. The room stank of an electrical fire. I took it upon myself to move the cabinet and dresser out and risked electrocution to unplug the TV. Afterwards I contacted the management and he came over to the room and looked at us like we were tearing the place apart and that we broke the TV. It was kind of hard to explain to a person what happened when they don't speak English well. We asked for another room and they said that they were full. We asked for a fan to air out the room and they said that they did not have one. Just open the door it was their response. In the morning, we had one of the hotel staff peeking in our window with her hands cupped to the glass to see inside? I will never stay there again and will tell all that I know not to stay there either! Not professional at all ! Oh and there was a coffee maker with no pot. In both rooms.”

• Close to everything, comfortable beds, nice pool.
• No restaurant only a micro wave.

“Was very nice and pleasant would recommend it to family and friend we most likely go back there again.”

• Clean.
• Freezing "indoor" pool that you need to walk outside to access.

“We took our boys skiing in February. We specifically chose this hotel b/c of location, price, and the fact that there was an indoor pool to keep the boys occupied in the evenings. Well - what the hotel neglects to mention is that though the pool is indoors, you have to walk outdoors to get to the indoor pool. The pool area was freezing. There was a thermometer hanging high up on the wall (way up by the ceiling where typically it is hotter, since heat rises!) and the thermometer read 60 degrees air temp. The water was so cold that we could barely stay in it - and that is with a low air temp which usually makes a pool feel warmer than it is! We spent most of our time in the hot tub simply b/c of that. The hot tub was really only big enough for about 5 people - so once other people came to the pool area we cleared out so that others could have a turn. I was incredibly disappointed. Why in heaven's name wouldn't you mention that patrons would need to walk outside to get to the pool - - especially to patrons who are staying in the middle of the winter! We stayed for 2 nights. The place was full, but there were others who were equally disappointed in the pool arrangement.”

• Comfy bed! Coffee pot in room, clean!
• Cant' think of anything I didn't like.

“The Econo Lodge was nicer than I expected considering; it was very economic. The bed was extremely comfortable!”

• It was easy access with a friendly staff.
• The room had been smoked in even though it was non smoking.

“It's a nice place to stay as you pass through Petoskey, on this trip We were looking for a place to sleep not places to stay. If youre looking for a resorts atmosphere this isn't the place.”

• Continental breakfast had waffles, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
• The room seemed damp even with the sun shining and the air conditioner on.

“Other than the dampness it was a nice place to stay, with shuttle service and coupons for the Casino.”
