“The hotel was nice. We enjoyed the pool, the area was clean & they provided towels. There is a snack bar located behind the front desk that is open all the time. I thought the beds were comfortable and the room was clean.”

“The hotel had a great location. It was in the middle of a lot of attractions. Close to Lookout Mtn as well. I will definitely be back!”

“Easy to find hotel, great location next-door to local attractions (Aquarium, IMAX, River front), hotel staff very friendly & helpful. Room was clean and accommodating, with TV/internet/fridge in room. (wireless however not available in room. bummer!) Dining room in hotel was small and meal was overpriced. A free continental breakfast would have been a nice touch.”

“Normally, I do not give bad reviews. We travel quit a bit and have stayed in good hotels from NYC to Florida to California. I have never really had a bad experience. Some better than others, but none warranted a bad review. This hotel experience warrants a bad review and much, much more. I will start with the good/okay things about the hotel. The location is great. We were literally across the street from the IMAX and the Aquarium. That was helpful with a toddler. The room size was good and beds were okay. Pretty clean. Free internet access. That's it. That is the end of the good. Here's the bad: No water pressure and no hot water. The pool was cloudy and gross. The hot tub was cooler than the pool, temperature wise. There is no continental breakfast at all when several hotels in the area (which charge the same per night) offer a hot breakfast. We knew this in advance though and planned accordingly. Just would have been nice to have had complimentary breakfast. Here's the worst part! Warning! Keep this in mind if you are going to stay here! When we checked in, we gave a debit card to cover the room cost. We have done this at every hotel we have stayed at within the past 5 years, and never had an issue. One hotel, charged $1.00 authorization, just to insure the account was in good standing, but other than that, nothing was charged on our account until we checked out and then it was for the precise amount we owed. (Even at Pop Century in Disney last May!). The hotel employee at Courtyard warned us that using our debit card could freeze our funds for several days. He explained further that the hotel needed to pre-authorize the card to ensure funds and then when we checked out they would charge the actual amount so it could tie up a large amount of our checking account. This made no sense and I am sure others can verify that this is not common hotel practice. We went along with it as we were assured the amount would fall off the account within a few days and our debit card would be charged the correct amount.”
