“I have stayed at 3 different Marriott hotels. This was by far the worst of the 3. The room was ok with a AC that barely worked. The glasses that were in the room had stains on them and the shower head was mildewed and molded. The staff was ok but it seems the different departments had no idea what the other was doing. For example, I was waiting for a cart to take down my luggage to the car and was told by the front desk that I could come get my own cart since it was taking a long time. When I went downstairs, the bellman came up to my room and loaded up all my things when I wasn't there. It just seemed like a total lack of communication between the hotel staff.”

“Me and my wife had a great time and the view from our window was great. The bed was outstanding and made for a great night of sleep. Chattanooga was a great place and the location of the hotel made it really nice.”

“Nice, but a little worn out. Employees seemed tired - except the valets who were very cheerful and helpful. Geared more for business than families.”

“This hotel is awesome, the staff, the location, the rooms, the beds, the pool/exercise area, we always chooses this hotel whenever we are in Chattanooga. Even have Starbucks on the second floor for my morning caffeine fix. This place is worth the money. Safe hotel; free electric shuttle stop is just steps outside the door that runs every 5 minutes to all of downtown Chattanooga.”

“Liked hotel and location. Front desk, 2 ladies, at check in left lots to be desired. The lady from Hawaii failed to pay attention and it took three tries to get my room requirements right (2 rooms). The other was a black lady in training-poor combination. Having the incompetent train a new person is recipe for disaster. But at checkout the ladies were exceptional (different ladies). Some work is required here to earn a higher rating from me!”

“This is a very nice midtown hotel. It is on the free bus line making it easy to get to the downtown attractions. I would gladly recommend this hotel.”

“This hotel was really nice and location not too far from attractions. Didn't feel safe enough to walk outside at night. There needs to be more street lights to light up the area. Parking should be free. Bed very comfortable.”

“Clean hotel but housekeeping was not consistent, had to ask for it the first day and then every day after that they came while we were all still sleeping. Also sent an email complaint on the unwanted solicitation that happening in the room with the marketing material for a company. Bellman left a promotional bar of 'soap' on counter. Didn't understand it and had to inquire at front desk.”

“We self-parked in the parking garage, and entered through several tunnel like hallways which were stinky and grungy, which gave us a bad first impression. However, the rest of the hotel was decorated very nicely, and the escalator down to the lobby had a cool waterfall-like feature made of lights. There were several elevators, all with views of the city, and we never had to wait long for an elevator. Our room was ok, nothing extravagant, but the beds were definitely comfortable with lots of pillows, down and synthetic. Towels were rather used looking, but no big deal. There is an indoor pool and hot tub, as well as an outdoor pool which was closed because of the season. The indoor pool was very small and packed full of kids, until it closed at 11pm.The hotel charges $10 per day for self-parking, $12 for valet parking - looking back, we should have paid for the valet, because it was a long walk carrying luggage and a toddler, not to mention the grunge factor. The hotel also has downtown shuttle service, which we forgot to use. The restaurant had a great breakfast buffet ($12), with a chef who would make omelets, waffles, and other stuff to order right in front of you. All in all, it was a good place to stay.”
