“OK stay. Better than 2 star, but not 3 star. Room stale smelling, and no complimentary breakfast. Staff not very friendly. Bed really comfortable, though.”

“Beautiful. Breakfast could've been cheaper but I saved on the room by using Priceline. Friendly staff. Thanks John for directions and thanks housekeeping. the king size bed was WONDERFUL and the room was accommodating.”

“The hotel was more than I hoped for. Attractive, lots of stores and mall nearby. Walking distance to restaurants.”

“Driving up, I was quite surprised this was a 3star hotel. It's basically a motel attached to an older hotel. The lobby was nicely decorated, though the front desk person was not familiar with area and not too interested in finding information. Breakfast was excellent, and with kids eating free, was great on the pocket book. We were rather disappointed with the room. Many parts of bathroom were crumbling but the linens on beds were very nice. We were pretty bad out with the room service tray that stayed in the hall the entire time we were there. It may still be there, getting moldy! We were happy, though, that it was quiet.”

“Upon our arrival, we found a broken glass in the ice bucket. We called the front desk. The manager himself arrived, and presented us with free breakfast coupons for my family. Excellent response. 2 days later upon entry to the hotel and completely different manager stopped us on the way in and offered my 2 year old any toy he wanted to pick from a box of new toys. Excellent. My son was delighted. The staff truly wants to make sure that your stay is excellent. The met and exceeded those expectations. During our one week of hotel stays, we actually left mid week and made a reservation at another upscale hotel supposedly 4 stars. It was my wife's birthday and we wanted to be treated in a luxurious manner. We were so let down by this other hotel. This Holiday Inn BLEW them away on ALL fronts. Food, friendliness, response, room, comfort. Across the board a big win for Holiday Inn. Thanks again for the awesome service and stay!”

“Dreadful! I never ever stay in Holiday Inn hotels as they are all the same. The hotel is a typical shocking run down, dirty Holiday Inn hotel I guess, I was given 3 different rooms upon my arrival. The 1st room was facing the restaurant (it was like being locked up in a prison cell), no natural light so I asked for another room. The 2nd room had plumbing issues and the room stank, I again asked for another room which was right next to the elevator. The whole hotel stinks, it is so dirty all over and all the 3 non smoking rooms I looked at all stank of cigarette smoke. The staff was friendly, but I would never ever stay there again and would not recommend anyone to go there. Probably one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed.”

“Good location for traveling, close to highways that get you in and out of Louisville easily. Close to restaurants and activities.”

“Hotel seemed to be dated. It was described as 3 star upscale. We have used Priceline before and gotten 3 star that were nicer. Hotel is ok in a pinch, but would not chose to stay there.”

“Nice clean room terrace area rooms have no elevator to second floor. Would have liked to have been in the nicer area of the building which was beautiful.”

“The hotel was not as nice as many holiday inn express that I've been to lately. The accessibility into the hotel was not easy. Once you understand the access it is okay.”

“The location is great; just off the interstate and close to lots of restaurants and retail stores. Dining room food was over-priced (100% tax on alcohol) and only average; the highlight was our server. The facility is in need of a good cleaning and/or renovations. The room was musty and smelled heavily of cigarette smoke; when we complained the hotel staff at the front desk rolled their eyes and offered a meager sorry. I won't stay here again; in fact, I'm not likely to stay again at a Holiday Inn.”

“This hotel has a serious problem of trying to be something it is not. They market the hotel as a high service, business oriented, convention type hotel. It is far from it. The night front desk manager is about as unaccommodating as a service person can be. Special request? She'll do her best to see it is ignored (such as switching rooms). I really believe her make up is that of a control freak. She will lie straight to your face - most likely to save herself extra work that is part of her job. The hotel spends a lot of money catering to their lobby & common areas (I'm sure for event sales), and neglect their guest rooms. An example is the hotel will have a happy hour pianist while a room with water damage and peeling wall paper is rented over & over for weeks. The rooms have walls that are paper thin & depending on the floor may have older furnishings or lack amenities (luggage stands & clothes hangars). It is common to find numerous items in the room missing or in disrepair. Families & partier are placed in rooms directly next to business guests - assuring a lack of rest. The hotel advertises a free USA Today to your door each day - they never deliver (literally). This speaks of laziness & lack of service! The restaurant is over priced and food of poor quality. Do yourself a favor and visit restaurants next door such as Friday's and Joe's Bayou instead of eating this slop. Other than the front desk battle ax mentioned above, there are some nice, friendly employees, but the number has fallen in recent years & the newer ones appear to lack training in customer service. The house keeping staff is below average. I have stayed in rooms that were clean in this hotel. However, I have stayed in many more rooms here that lacked attention to detail for cleanliness or maintenance. Perhaps most disturbing was an out break of bedbugs in Nov 2008. This hotel & their sales staff will tell you they are like a Marriott. They are far from it! It is a Holiday Inn and not a very good one.”

“The common areas were not clean and room service trays were left outside of rooms for days. The entrance was through a deserted gas station and felt creepy and unsafe. While I understand the hotel was under renovation there is not excuse for not vacuuming floors and cleaning.”
