• Front desk staff was friendly.
• The room was a non smoking room but smelled like smoke.

“Found the hotel by accident. I would have kept driving, except I saw a picture of the hotel before I left on my trip. Once we checked in we went to our room that was supposed to be non smoking and it smelled like cigarette smoke. It was an older hotel that wasn't worth the money. The staff was friendly. Would never stay here if we had a choice.”

• The rooms were very spacious and clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
• When we first got to our room there was mold in the toilet but whoever cleaned the next day took care of it.

“I was very pleased with the rooms as they were very spacious, the hotel staff seemed happy friendly and more than happy to help. I was a little disappointed because they didn't over a breakfast but I was overall very pleased with the hotel and staff.”

• Towels were thick and fluffy.
• Elevators made a groaning sound.

• Very nice, indoor pool, nice quiet rooms.
• Nothing.

• We enjoyed the indoor pool and the room was clean and attractive.
• The police had to be called for a domestic disturbance and I did not like my children witnessing the police there with the husband.

• Pool and common areas are neat.
• Bathrooms are small with crowded countertops.

“It met my expectations, the front desk personnel could and should be friendlier, and the spoke and acted more tired than the travelers. The common restroom by the pool was dirty.”

• The pool area is nice and the hotel is very clean.
• The keys for the door constant problem, staff impatient with problem.

“The hotel is located in a safe, easy to access location. The parking is not in abundance. The continental breakfast was awful and the dinning room staff was not very friendly. The front desk employees are nice until you have a problem. We had to change rooms after repeatedly reporting a problem with the room key. Key was not the problem but staff indicated it was us. Finally management agreed there was a problem with the door, not us. Keys are too sensitive - cannot place near a credit card or cell phone, so where do you carry the key!? What a pain!”

• The main lobby was spectacular.

“The hotel was nice, although I would not rate it a 2.5 star. Lucky to be a 2 star. The staff was nice, the room clean, and the location was suitable for my needs. The lobby was very nice and the pool looked inviting, although I was unable to utilize it due to my time frame.”

• Older Hotel, but in good shape and a place to work out.
• Mattress too hard.

• Location was excellent. Near restaurants, beaches, & shopping.
• Wish there had been an outside pool. Indoor pool was too small for the size of the hotel.

“When I return to Panama City you can be assured that I will book again at the Holiday Inn Select. Staff was helpful. Rooms were clean. Continental breakfast was excellent.”

• The hotel staff were very helpful and attentive. Bravo!
• No smoking rooms in this hotel. You must smoke outside.

“I will definitely be contacting this hotel again if I need to stay in Panama City. The price difference of this hotel and the hotels on the beach makes it worth the few minutes further to drive to get to the beach. It is across the street from the Panama City Mall, and other in-town attractions.”
