• Very pretty hotel in public areas of the hotel.
• Very expensive, construction noise in next to our room all day long. Not all the amenities that are advertised on their web page are really available.

“This was the worst stay at a hotel ever. There was construction right next to our room all day long 9 am to 5 pm for 3 straight days. At check in we were not made aware that there would be construction and were not able to go back to our room and relax due to the noise of power saws and hammers. At check out when we told the staff we were told to fill out a comment card. Also the hotel listed in-room amenities of Nintendo 64 and web TV. Web TV was not available at all and Nintendo 64 cost. Continental breakfast (donuts and coffee) cost, this service is free at most other hotel. No map of the hotel available, no internet access unless you brought in you own computer. Pool was nice but small for the size of the hotel. Housekeeping did not take out the garbage on the 3rd day of our stay. Yes, the hotel was fancy and pretty but not very accommodating. Would not recommend to any traveler, there are better value hotels available close by. Amenities are not as advertised on their web page. It seemed that children were look down upon. .”

• Decor of rooms and lobby--easy access to Ford Museum.
• $14.oo per day parking fee and pricey restaurants.

“It was like going back in time to another era. The main lobby and older lobby took my breath away. Rooms were beautiful and very clean. Starbucks was perfect for a quick breakfast. Many good places to eat within 4 blocks. Close to our son's loft apartment was a big plus. Better than some motels in Las Vegas. Will return in July 2006.”

• Indoor connection to DeVos Hall.
• Our room was quite small, but big enough.

“Beautiful lobby, restaurants and facilities. Room was nice, but small. Right downtown and indoor connection to DeVos Hall was nice.”
