• Location / grounds.

“The overall stay at the Hotel was great. However, I did not like the fact that you have to pay $9.95 per day if you want internet access in your room. The hotel food prices were
too high, however food was good. The hotel should offer discounts to activities.”

• Loved the pool near the SPA!

“We plan on another visit with friends. The boat ride to Shell Island is a MUST! The pool near the Spa was ideal for our teenagers the atmosphere & staff were wonderful. We loved the beds, sheets and down comforters. The resort had a celebrity there that weekend and handle the crowd of fans well. We LOVED this weekend get-away!”

“Had to pay $10 a day for internet access, and it wasn't even wireless. I stayed at a super 8 the night before and had free WiFi included. 1$ for a local call.”

“This was a nice hotel away from the beaten path and quiet. It was still convenient to the beaches and business district and easy to access. The staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was great.”

“The hotel/grounds are older but very nice and clean. I felt safe traveling with my children. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were comfortable. Approximately a 20 minute drive to the beach and major attractions.”

• All the rooms do not have an ocean or gulf view.

• My husband and I received bites/bruises while sleeping.

“My husband and I received bites/bruises while sleeping. I also received a swollen lip. I informed the manager. I told him there may have been bed bugs in the bed/mattress. The manager thought the bites/bruises may have resulted from spider bites. This experience was definitely beyond my expectation from a Marriott hotel.”

• Extremely nice staff and the hotel was very clean inside and outside.
• I would have preferred a hotel on the beach.

“Overall the experience was wonderful. I would have preferred a hotel on the beach overlooking the golf, but this is a great resort if you are into golf. The complimentary boat ride to shell island was a wonderful addition.”

• Shell Island and the boat ride over were great!
• A bit out of the way, but this was not a factor for me.

“Resort was beautiful. Everything I needed was there. I could have spent the entire trip without leaving the resort. At first I was disappointed that I was not staying directly on the beach, but with the complimentary boat ride to Shell Island (beach and emerald waters were breath taking and secluded) I could not have been more pleased.”

• Shuttle service to Shell Island.
• Room with poor view and lack of response to complaint about beeping smoke detector.

“This is a nice hotel in an out of the way location. It is not on the main strip in Panama City Beach and is not on the beach. They do offer a boat shuttle to Shell Island to make up for it though. The hotel has two small but nice pools and a beach area on the bay. The hotel is a little hard to find as it is not well marked off the main road.”
