“8 blocks from riverfront, exceptionally clean, convenient, free, on-site parking. Excellent restaurant on premises. Pool was closed, which was a disappointment, but overall, I would stay there again.”

“It needs to do a lot of remodeling. This wasn't out of my expectation range though.”

“Too far to walk to most down town entertainment but the shuttle service makes up for it. Get a room with a view on the city. Other rooms can be less than attractive without. Wire less connections is a plus but bathrooms are small and inadequately vented.”

“The Holiday Inn is centrally located in downtown Louisville and easily accessible from I-65. It appears to be popular with business travelers, but will have a hard time staying competitive with nicer, newer hotels nearby. The rooms are dated and on the dingy side. The bathroom is tiny and dominated by a very loud, rattling exhaust fan. The restaurant is typically overpriced for hotel food. But the staff is friendly and pleasant, and the room rate matched the quality.”

“This hotel exceeded my expectations. I have stayed at a lot of hotels this by far was the best for a Downtown hotel, very elegant, friendly staff and cleanliness. My stay was wonderful and even the bed was comfortable. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel.”

“Location was farther away from our destination. The price we paid for the room was more than I would think it to be worth. I work at a hotel in the Downtown Cincinnati/Covington area. Though the room was very clean and the staff was very friendly the hotel needed some updating.”

“Good value for those traveling on a budget. The rooms are comfortable, but somewhat dated. The bathroom could stand a remodel. Good location within walking distance of 4th street entertainment/dining.”

“They had half the parking lot blocked off with flags (unknown why considering they were sold-out that weekend). Walking in, the lobby was stunning. The whole public-area was beautiful. It's a really old building, so the elevators were ridiculously small and slow. I'm not sure housekeeping cleaned at all. There was a pack of cigarettes still under the bed from the previous guest, and the bathroom had hair all over the sink, toilet, tub, etc. We had a corner room on the 5th floor. We heard pipes banging and water running all night long. There was this strange little vent above one of the beds. The pipes were visible through it so you could hear every little trickle of water as though it were next to your ear. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well because of it. Finally, our phone didn't work in the room. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay, and we weren't in the room much anyway. The staff seemed pleasant enough once we arrived. They had a small gift shop off the front desk with odds and ends that were reasonably priced. And, it bears repeating, the lobby was gorgeous! The elevators were sluggish enough that we actually had time to take it in.”
