• Location downtown.
• Pool was not open (indoors). Additional parking fee to park overnight.

“I did not find the staff friendly upon check in. I was trying to obtain information about parking. The parking was overpriced and your valuables were not guaranteed. The main thing I booked this room for was the location, price and indoor pool and Jacuzzi. The Pool and Jacuzzi were closed for remodeling the whole stay, and the moderate price I received for the room was increased by the daily parking fees - so I could have increased my daily amount to a nicer hotel.”

• Location.
• Smell.

“Area was flooded by deluge of rain. First hotel room was flooded and second smelled musty. Staff tried to be accommodating, but there is only so much you may do. The internet in the room was useful. The beds slept GREAT! I would be willing to give this hotel another try if I was back in the area.”

“Very bad part of town, staff was not friendly, hotel was old and dirty. Way overpriced compared to other hotels I stayed in, on the same trip. No work space in rooms and very tiny and not updated.”

• Affordable and friendly hotel.
• A little stuck in the seventies and carpets needed to be cleaned.

“It was an affordable hotel. Seemed clean for the most part, except for the carpet in different areas. The smell was just the motor. The basic decor was seventies style, but overall it was a nice hotel and the neighborhood wasn't bad at all. Lots of restaurants down the road. I didn't feel threatened there at all.”

“Overall this was an awesome hotel for the price. I highly recommend it especially for Paranormal Investigators heading to Waverly Hills Sanitarium. Its right down the street.”

• Did not have a supply of disposable plates or flatware, for use or purchase.

• The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable.
• House keeping knocked hours before check out.

“This hotel exceeded my expectations. Everything was visually appealing and clean. The indoor pool is a nice size, and the bed was comfortable. I would stay there again.”

• The customer service made the whole experience. Bonita at the front desk was more than helpful with recommending attractions and also with directions.
• I was extremely happy with every detail.

“But was very satisfied once check-in. The overall experience was more than satisfactory and would recommend this hotel to all family, friends, and business travelers.”

• The hotel seemed to be in a more run-down area of town, but I still felt safe.

• The swiming pool was close when we got their, but we had a late arrival, toilet in room 310 did not work well, lobby rugs needed to be cleaner,.

• The quality of room amenities, bed, high speed internet and cleanliness were great.
• The bathroom was small.

“The holiday inn southwest in Louisville, KY is a great place to stay. It was extremely convenient to the Louisville airport and convenient to the highway. It was full service with food and bar and the rooms where comfortable. I would recommend this property to those visiting the Louisville area.”

• Bad neighborhood; very active bar; carpets filthy.

“The carpet in our room was filthy would not allow children to play on it. Bar was located right off main lobby and was loud and smelly. Not a good choice for families or children.”

• The staff was excellent. Very friendly and helpful.
• Needs a little updating. They are working on it though.

“Had a great stay. Close to everything. 20 min to the casinos, 15 to the zoo, lots of dining places close. The neighborhood is a little run down, but they have great security, so no worries. The dining room also had great service, but closes a little early. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a great rate and a good room, with great people.”
