“Worst hotel I have ever seen. Cigarette burns on furniture and floor. King size bed had flat sheets for double bed. Had to sleep on top of comforter. Furniture looked like it came from a salvage yard. Vanity was a piece of plywood painted blue. Vanity top repainted, but neglected to clean top before applying. Grit and dirt embedded in finish. Bathroom door would not close and latch. Door frame broken, molding re-attached to inside of door frame had nails exposed and covered with rust. Baseboard lying on floor beside toilet. Faucets in tub/shower were not attached behind tub surround. Mold on ceiling in bathroom. Smoke detector had a plastic bag over it (don't know how that was supposed to work). Found two containers of Ben and Jerry's in fridge. Don't know how long they had been there, but they were disgusting. Fridge obviously never cleaned. Card access had been removed from door lock and wires were hanging out of lock mechanism. Large gap all around entrance door (looked like about one inch gap at top of door. Talked to visitor from Indiana staying there and showed him our room. He asked me how I managed to get the nice room, as his was worse. Said he had to take his wife to local bar and get her drunk in order to get her to sleep in their room. Nine o'clock (it was dark outside) they were power washing the sidewalk in front of our rooms. Had to call front desk and ask them to stop. Reply by clerk, "oh, is it bothering you?". Absolutely no consideration for guests. Had no choice but to stay there, as all other hotels were full.”
