• The staff was helpful in letting us know things to do in the area.
• The rooms were filthy. We tried 3 rooms before we found one that I felt we could at least sleep in, but we did not bathe!

“I will be reporting this hotel to the corporate offices. The pool was out of service, the rooms were filthy. We looked at 3 rooms before we found one that I felt we could stay in, but we still did not use the bath tub.”

• Close to activities we visited.
• Air conditioner not working correctly.

“We had the air conditioner on max from our check in at 6:00 pm through checkout. When we returned for the night at 11:00 pm, we found the room was not very cool. Not maintenance person on hand to repair it. No other rooms available. Made for a long night.”

• It was rather clean in all aspects.
• 14 Indian people stayed in the room next to me. They kept me up most of the night.

“Overall a nice 1-star hotel. My experience was tainted by a family of 14 that stayed in the room next to me. They also ran around like crazy at the free breakfast the motel displayed. I am certain, I would have liked my stay a lot more if not for that. The shower had exceptional power and they had a skin pad there to removed dead skin in the bathroom. It was the best shower I had in years.”

• Good location to Mammoth Cave and surrounding cave areas.
• Room smelled musty. Some mold the tub. Continental breakfast food was average at best. Seats we sat in were stained.

“Location suited our purposes. The room was musty, as if it receives no sunlight in the off season. Operator should open up the curtains to unoccupied rooms since the glass is tinted and no one is in there anyway. Continental breakfast was full of starchy foods. The juice (apple/orange) tasted as if it wasn't mixed properly. The serving utensils (forks, spoons etc. need to be displayed with the handle side up and at least two of the chairs we sat in had severe stains. Cheese cubes should be served in something other than the ice bucket so other customers aren't fingering all the cheese cubes. Same principle for the utensils mentioned above.”

• This hotel was close to the location I was traveling to.
• It was rather run down and I didn't feel safe.

“I wouldn't want to stay in a Quality Inn again. The in-room refrigerator was not plugged in and there was mold inside of it. The bathroom was dirty. The bedding looked very old and not very clean so I slept in my clothes with a shirt around the pillow. The stairwells were very dark at night and I didn't feel safe walking out. The best aspect of the hotel was it's location to the highway and they let us check in early.”

“First it was Higher than the price on the Marked. There was mold everywhere. The wall paper was pealing off and the toilet ran all night. It was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in.”

• We had a great view of the pool, but got there very late.
• the sheets were terrible, rough and knobbier.

“We were headed from Indpls. to Dale Hollow lake in Tennessee. This location was great because it was right on our way from I-65 to hwy. #90.”

• Friendly and helpful staff.
• Older property not well maintained.

“Facility was old and not well maintained. Had trouble with the door and lock. Air conditioner was small for the room size. No high-speed internet connection, and was told that the dial-up number for Earth link was a local call (it wasn't). On the plus side, its in a good location and the staff was friendly and helpful.”

• The staff was very friendly.
• Our room was dirty and on one day did not get cleaned.

“The Quality Inn is one of the only hotels in Cave City with a pool. Although it wasn't very clean it was nice to have. the hotel was understaffed and it took a long time to resolve issues. There was only one man working in the hotel when we arrived and he was way too busy to tend to guests needs. He was very friendly, but we still waited for towels, an extra sheet and a battery for the remote control for the TV. I was not impressed with the housekeeping staff. There was a q-tip on the floor next to the night stand and quite a bit of garbage ( from previous guests) near the beds. They did not clean our room one night and the maid was visibly angry with us when we asked her to give us 10 minutes to leave the room. It was 9:30am and we were almost ready to go out for the day. Franky, even for $45/night it wasn't worth it.”

• The pool and continental breakfast were unexpected treats.
• Our toilet broke during our stay, and the bathtub seemed to have a drain problem.

• One of the closest hotels off park land to caves.
• Free breakfast was not very good.

“Great value for close hotel to the caves. Pool is very large. Air conditioning could use upgrade. Be sure to make reservations for caving tours before you go.”

• If bathroom light was on, the vanity area light was also on. Not good situation for night light for youngster..

• Right at the highway.
• Old rooms needs to be remodeled.

“The hotel is need of remodeling. It deals with bus load travelers to the Caves. There are better places to stay in the area.”

• The location was perfect for what we wanted to do in Cave City.
• I thought the room was a bit dirty and run down looking in the bathroom.
