• It was in Indianapolis.
• Not up to standards of other hotels in area or that I have stayed in before.

“This hotel was across town from where I needed to be and in an area with no restaurants that was poorly lit. The desk clerk was more interested in talking to her friend on her cell then checking us in and the room was questionable. We prefer mattresses with stuffing between the springs and us.”

• There were ducks on the pond out back. They like saltines.
• The roaches, wet floor, broken refrigerator, smell, broken TV remotes, and no cleaning service.

“Wow. We ended up in this hotel because it was seemingly the last choice in town. We knew that meant trouble, and it was as expected. This hotel does not deserve its 1-star; this is a half-star. We had a room that had wet carpet, mold stench, and had a few little roach friends. The bedding was severely stained, and the TV remotes and refrigerators did not work. I guess that makes it a typical 1-star, but all I ask for is clean. It can be a mud-hut, but if the bed is clean, the floor is clean, and it doesn't stink, I'm fine. This room did not meet those levels. One last thing; if you do get stuck here, be sure to not decline the cleaning service at 9 a.m. They won't come back, ever.”

• Great breakfast and a lot of choices.
• Customer service on the phone was poor.

“I needed help dialing out and attendant asked me to call back because she was busy checking another customer in. One afternoon we came back to our room being unlocked. Attendant's response was that housekeeping had just been in and it had only been open a short time. There was a stain on the carpeting right inside the door and mold on the shower curtain. It was the perfect distance for us from downtown for the Indy parade and from the race track. We would use this hotel again if we return for an Indy race.”
