• The water was hot and the shower head was higher than 5 feet.
• Paid for internet. Small TV. No shampoo.

“Who pays for the internet anymore? The TV was only a 17'. Soap but no shampoo. The front desk staff was friendly, though.”

• Easy to find.
• Sub par when compared to similar hotels.

“The corridors smelled like smoke and they seemed more institutional than hotel like. The room was about 15 years out of date, the bedspread was coming apart and the chair looked filthy. It was okay for one night but definitely would have gone next door to the other hotel if I had to stay for more time.”

• Full sized refrigerator in the room.
• The room was freezing when I walked in. I had to turn on the heat.

“I was very pleased with this hotel. I was traveling on my own with my 3 week old daughter and having a kitchenette with a full sized refrigerator made my life so much easier! I made up bottles before turning in for the night and got more sleep than I would have trying to measure water, get the formula into the bottle, then mixing it and warming the formula.”

• No pool, no internet, very unhelpful man working at the desk.

• Staff was flexible and attentive.
• There were large spots on hallway carpet, permanent stains in the middle of the hallway. should have been replaced.

“The staff was good. Prompt service and good knowledge. My only complaint would be that the hotel appeared to get a lot of traffic and showed it. There were crumbs on the arms of the chair in the lobby and there were many stains on the carpet on my hallway floor. The room was clean and neat and the bed was a bit firm for my tastes. Based on my experience at other Extended Stays, I would stay at another one again but may avoid this particular location if I could in the future.”

• First room was not cleaned. Second room door could not open. Third room was ok.

“They are drunks everywhere in the parking lot, inside halls, kids were screaming and just a joke of a hotel. Desk help is so rude and were little help. They are only for people that are college age only. Older people not welcome. Parking lot was not safe but is well lit so you can see you car if still there.”

• The odors were unbearable.

“The hotel did not have rooms, so they sent us to a partner hotel one block away - Studio Plus. The staff was very helpful. However, the odors were unbearable. The hotel wreaked of a potent blend of Raman noodles, curry, Chinese takeout and something that reminded us of maple syrup. We had to try three different no smoking rooms to find one that had tobacco concentration slightly below that of Toledo billiards hall.”

• Nice location for that area - just wasn't as close to the bigger city as I'd prefer.
• Nice location if going to a college event but not for Downtown South Bend. Don't really care for suite motels.
