• Bayside Inn: was often very uncrowded so no crowds or excessive issues with other guests.
• WiFi Surcharge of $10/day, excessive resort fees, badly in need of updating.

“It is an older property and is in desperate need of a makeover. The furnishings, design, and appointments within the hotel are far outdated and it is very obvious from the first step in. Additionally a surcharge for Internet access in this day and age is ridiculous. Even with that having been said, there were only a couple of folks within our group who could even pickup the fee-based WiFi signal within the hotel. I have stayed at many other properties within this very large resort before. In hindsight, I would have likely tried to get a condo or into another property on the resort. The other properties are quite nice and I have always enjoyed them.”

• Old, lack of service.

“The Picture that we were shown as the hotel turned out to be where you check in, not where we stayed. the Hotel we stayed at was old, in desperate need of updates, and smelled of mold. The restaurant on site had poor service and the food wasn't good.”

• Convenience of having everything we needed close by.
• There's nothing we didn't like.

“We arrived and checking in was so easy. We got into our room and it was comfortable and clean. The restaurants were just outside our doorstep. It was a romantic get away and since it rained the whole weekend, our studio room was perfect. We're planning a Summer trip with our children. Absolutely loved it!”

• Close beach location and pool.
• The room was dated and not as clean. The bed was not comfortable as well.

“Great location, with pool onsite. The hotel rooms seem dated and the beds no where near as comfortable. The place needs an overhaul, but the location is fabulous.”

• Nice towels, comfortable beds, good amenities.
• When we checked in the desk clerk was very rude.

“I think the price might have been a little high for this property, but it was a busy time in the summer season and I understand that. We had to wait lengthy times for the shuttle, but it was a great convenience for this property. The whole San Destin property was gorgeous and we had a great time.”

• It is the perfect place to go in any occasion, romantic, family, business.
• We stayed two nights and the sheets were not changed. This was a big inconvenient because we went in a romantic trip. The bathroom didn't look really.

“If you are looking for a wonderful and safe place to go this is the perfect resort.”

• There were a lot of amenities at the overall resort so that was nice.
• The hotel was very far from the beach and it seemed a bit like a dump.

“While the overall rating of the whole complex of the San Destin Resort may have been 3*, where we stayed at the Bayside Inn was well under that. Bayside was the furthest hotel from the beach.”

• It was a private resort with restricted access and nice beaches.
• Front desk was sometimes unmanned. Not as many shops as I would like.

“Nice, comfortable, private resort with a variety of on property activities and nice atmosphere with very well kept beaches.”

• The ground was well kept. The location is great.

“Room was clean but bathroom shower tiles appeared to be dirty. The underside of the soap dish had mold growing on it. The hall area on the floor our room was on smelled strange.”

• In a great resort.
• I wanted ocean and beach!

“This hotel is average but the resort property is 4 star. The hotel and rooms are a little above normal but not like 4 stars. It did have a refrigerator and microwave and a king sized bed, these were nice. Settled for bayside.”

• The Baytown Village area was great, though expensive.
• The registration desk staff needs an attitude correction.

“The resort exterior & grounds were beautiful, however the condo, we rented, needed maintenance. The washer & dryer were worked poorly; the balcony sliding screen door was broken and leaning against a wall on the balcony; several electrical outlet covers were broken & needed replacing; the ceiling above the tub/shower had a leak from the condo above ours. When the latter was reported, maintenance did not respond for over 24 hours. The security staff, maintenance staff, and many members (but not all) of the beach staff were friendly and helpful. The registration desk staff had a very indifferent attitude as if our being there was a bother to them. The condo's furnishing were generally comfortable, the quality was not on par with a resort portraying itself as a world-class resort. Though the beach was great and the surrounding landscaping was unparalleled, we will not be likely to return to this resort.”

• I liked the resort amenities and services the hotel provided and the proximity to the beach.
• All of the rooms had 2 double beds - we had to upgrade to get a larger bed.

“The Bayside Inn at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort was a lovely getaway, but beware, regular rooms have 2 double beds. To get a larger bed, we had to upgrade to a suite. Sure, it's not the end of the world to have double beds, but it sort of is when you're traveling with young children who tend to roll around a lot.”

• The hotel room and the price of the crappy hotel room. Bad lighting in room.

“This hotel was fine for a couple of nights, but would not want to spend a week there. The front desk was rarely manned, but when we had a problem with the television, they were quick to send someone to look at it.”

• The view from the balcony was great.
• The room was in a desperate need of being re-done and the plumbing needed a lot of work.

“This was not a hotel--it is a time share out building that had a lobby that was not manned. Check-in and check out were done three miles away. No services were available in the "hotel". The shower trickled out and took 5 minutes of constant flow before the water started to get warm. When we asked for better room, the hotel staff offered us another room in the same building with the same problems.”
