The Boulevard Inn 0-star

521 Lake Boulevard, St. Joseph, MI

The Boulevard Inn is reminiscent of a bygone era of lush hospitality and quiet charm. Back to a time when steamer boats and coal-burning trains brought travelers to the shores of St.[more]

  • The view from the hotel was awesome!
  • It would be nice to have a pool.

“I visited The Boulevard with my co-workers. We went to relieve some stress. This hotel was awesome! The hotel's park view was spectacular. Downtown St. Joseph was so quaint. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and very informational. We ate at the Bistro in the hotel, the food was very good and the wait staff was very prompt and friendly.”

  • Attractive rooms, fantastic location to beach and town, great amenities at hotel. Cleanliness seems a priority. Fantastic breakfast and cookies.
  • A pool would be nice. Windows did not work very well. Pillows were flat.

“Our hotel room was clean, spacious and well appointed. The decor was comfortable. Plenty of space for a family. Loved having a mini fridge in the seating area and a separate sleeping area. The full American breakfast is great, as well as the afternoon complimentary cookies and fruit. You could not ask for a better location overlooking Lake Michigan and a walk to the beach and downtown. This was our second year returning and we saw many improvements. I just wish they had fluffier pillows. We will return again!”

  • Good bar and restaurant area. Nicely decorated for the Holidays.
  • The suites need an update. The bedroom was ok but the furniture in the living area was so uncomfortable it was hard to sit and watch TV.

“The hotel was nice. There was no one to help with the luggage, which I thought odd for a place that claims to be classy. They accommodated us with two cribs for our babies. They bedroom of the suite was nice and spacious and the bed was comfortable. But the living area left a lot to be desired. The couch was so hard and scratchy that it was difficult to relax and watch TV. I don't know where you could purchase a couch that terrible if you wanted one. The bathroom could use an update. There was no information, such as TV channel guide, local restaurants or attractions, etc., in the rooms. The restaurant and bar were nice, the food was good, although room service and restaurant close a little early at 9:30 pm. It looked like the bar stays open until people stop buying.”

  • Old-style hotel like you see in movies.
  • No pool or spa.

“Very nice up-to-date hotel that looks like what you see in a 1930's movie. Great food and service, price of food is very high and not a lot of choices in food. Great free breakfast. Thanks and God Bless!”

  • The location was perfect, and the rooms very spacious.
  • The host staff was not overly helpful, or friendly.

“The location of the hotel was perfect. The rooms were spacious, and the buffet selection was good. I do feel the overall atmosphere was a little cold and unwelcoming. Although the furnishings were nice enough. The maintenance staff were the most friendly and helpful of all!”
