  • Location.
  • Everything else.

“The room I checked into was not cleaned. I moved to a room at the end of a hall where a door slammed all night and guests across the hall were drink and loud. The WiFi did not work, so I could not do my online work. The hot water took 10 minutes to get to my room and the knob was stripped so I could not control the temperature.”

  • The staff was friendly.
  • The hotel had a bad smell, musky, moldy smell.

“I stayed at this hotel two summers ago. The hotel has really went downhill! The pool was closed, and when asked the staff couldn't give me a projected opening date for the pool? The staff was very friendly, but the hotel smells musky & moldy. The hotel is right next to a couple of very rowdy apartment complexes. The apartment complex residents drive through the hotel parking lot at fast rates of speed on a regular basis. I was flipped-off by a young female as she raced through the hotel parking lot after leaving the apartment complex? I will not stay at this hotel ever again. I have an eleven year old daughter that did not feel safe in the parking lot of this hotel.”

  • Nothing much. I was nearly scared.
  • Overall upkeep and cleanliness. Poor value!

“Unkept. Run down. Pool closed. Elevators in 4 story building closed! No visibilble signs of ongoing work even. Dirty! Feeble attempts to poorly update throughout. Just plain poor!”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[6] • Location:[7]

  • WiFi internet, good cable options.
  • No pool, elevator broke, bad beds.

“When I checked in that night staff didn't look very professional. T-shirt, jeans, etc. Un professional decorum. When I checked out staff looked very professional, button shirts with hotel logo, courteous.”

  • Close to main roads.
  • Staff did not provide fresh linens the next day.

“If you are just looking to catch some sleep before you travel to Brown County or visit Indiana University, this hotel is fine.”

  • The continental breakfast was nice and the area very clean.
  • You didn't need a hotel key to get in the back door and they did not lock it at night.

“The hotel is what you expect for the price. The rooms are large and clean but not luxurious and the staff was all friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't like was that I do not believe the outside doors were locked at night and you didn't need a key to access the hotel.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[5] • Location:[7]

  • The woman at the front desk was very friendly.
  • Non working elevator, very shabby and bugs!

“I have stayed in nicer places in third world countries. Up 3 floors with luggage as elevator was not working, bad smells, dark hallways, bugs in room, broken ironing board, peeling stucco on outside - get the point? If I had just been driving by and looking for a room, I would have never stopped. Bright spot - authentic Mexican restaurant next door!”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[3] • Location:[5]

  • Complimentary breakfast.
  • Old dirty hallway carpets, hot and stuffy hallways, very old building, broken elevator and broken pool.

“I thought that Country Hearth Inn was a dump. I felt like I couldn't trust the staff there and that it wasn't safe to leave valuables in the room, so everywhere I went, I had to take all my jewelry, camera, glasses, and other valuable things with me. The receptionist stated casually that the pool is closed for the season - no apologies for inconveniences (and the shape that the hotel is in - I probably would not use the pool even if it was working). I'm sure other hotels with the same class rating as this one would have been better.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • It was far better than expected with a very decent breakfast. The staff was the best!
  • The carpets could use some attention but that's it. The rest was great.

“I had a clean and clean - smelling room with a nice breakfast for very little money. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay there again.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[7] • Location:[7]

  • The staff was helpful in supplying extra pillows, towels, and bathroom items when asked.
  • The entire hotel had a musty odor. It is in bad need of an upgrade of plumbing, carpet, and lighting.

“If we had planned on staying one night and then on our way it would have been tolerable but staying three nights it was difficult to come back to the hotel each night anticipating the smells and heat. The elevator and corridors were extr
