  • The mall and jazz bar.
  • The room was a smoking room.

“Stayed here many time before. I was told I had asked for a smoking room which I had not. There were no other rooms available. The entire floor reeked for smoke. It was awful. At checkout the next morning, a man was very early and they offered him a non-smoking handicapped room. Obviously, it was available the night before it just wasn't offered to us.”

  • Comfortable beds.
  • Terrible odor in elevator and area of parking level.

“Nice hotel, very conveniently located to shopping (attached mall) and nearby 5-Points dining.”

  • Access to the galleria mall was wonderful.
  • The sheets did not fit the bed properly - very frustrating; my bedside wall lamp was broken - again very frustrating.

“This is a beautiful hotel. Everything was wonderful except the room. Like I said, the mattresses were very soft and luxurious - too bad the sheets did not fit them and kept coming off. My older son became so frustrated that he took the fitted sheet and bed pad off during the night and slept on the mattress. Also the wall lamp on my side of the bed was broken - the on/off switch was missing.”

  • Mall access.
  • The staff was not helpful or knowledgeable.

“When I asked for the others I was told the reservation only included breakfast for 2. No one mentioned that the breakfast buffet was over at 9:45 am. Needless to say - we missed breakfast although it was paid for in our hotel rate.”

  • Clean.
  • Pay for phone access, pay for Internet.

“Be prepared to be nickel and dimmed - phone access charge even if you make NO calls, $10/day for DSL (not wireless in your room), even in the lobby.”

  • There were a lot of things to do close to the hotel.
  • Internet access costs $10 a day.

“Overall, a wonderful experience. The beds were extra soft, the pool was clean and fun, and the staff were nice. We paid extra for the Chancellor's Club rooms and it was worth it. Dinner Hors Doeuvres and breakfast were both good and on our floor. I recommend this hotel, but be prepared for extra charges.”

  • It had a nice restaurant.
  • The room smelled like mold. the club was closed.

“this was a waste of money. Even though I had read negative reviews they were over a year old. I would not recommend this hotel. I would rather stay in a Holiday Inn Express. the room reeked of mold. Getting on-line was difficult. I paid extra for the club level only to discover it was closed for renovations.”
