• Lighting in room was bright! I could read!
• Parking! It is too expensive and does not allow one to come and go. At least allow for 24 hours!

“Convenient location, easy to get to and central to most locations. Rooms are lighted well and a welcome relief to the usual dark rooms encountered in traveling. Parking is the only complaint I have. $7 is too expensive for each time you enter and exit. At least you could make it $7 for 24 hour pass.”

• It was newly renovated.
• It was inconvenient.

“The hotel is apparently "going green" because the air conditioning system in our room would turn off when it did not sense motion (i.e. when we were sleeping) making the room very hot and uncomfortable. The parking garage was far away and cost $7.00 every time you left and came back to the hotel.”

• Had to wait on front desk staff at check-in, elevators were odd.

• I was able to change rooms to a newly renovated room, which was very accommodating.
• If I did not change rooms, the 1st room was not up to the standard I prefer.

“If you stay at this hotel, please request a newly renovated room and also the parking across the street at the metered parking is much cheaper than the Valet parking when you are pinching pennies.”

• Location good.
• Roads to get to hotel not convenient.

“Guest services friendly and helpful. Had to call for towels daily to have enough for party. In room coffee available, but had to call because none was left in room. To park my own car, had to walk quite a distance to and from. Not really convenient. All and all, hotel was nice.”

• Really comfortable beds!
• Some elevator problems.

“I stayed here for a weekend. I couldn't have asked for a better location! Our room was wonderful with beds that are so comfortable; it's hard to leave them behind. There was some construction/maintenance going on, and not all of the Elevators were working, but we always managed to catch one when we needed it. Really nice, helpful staff. I'm planning on staying there again next time I go to a show!”

• The lobby and atrium was open and airy.
• Dirty rooms, broom closet for bathroom, no free wireless internet, room service severely overpriced, self park is too far from hotel, no free breakfast.

“I hated this hotel. For the reputation of Sheraton, I was extremely disappointed. The bathroom was extremely small. One could not open the bathroom door without hitting the shower curtain rod. The tub was severely stained. I wanted to take a bath but there was no way I would sit in that tub, because it was so dirty and stained. The water out of the faucet was yellow. The tiles had mildew in the cracks. The bathroom was very dirty. No free wireless internet. Room service was severely overpriced. The carpet was dirty and stained. The furniture in the room compared to the Bate's motel. I could go on and on. I would never recommend this room to friends or family. Actually, I would not recommend it to my enemies. I must admit the beds were comfortable, but that is the only good thing with my experience.”

“I really enjoyed this hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel staff is second to none. The next time I am in Birmingham, I will stay at this hotel.”

• It was convenient to the interstate and to the arena where the concert was located.
• The bathroom was too small.

“Hotel was conveniently located off of I20 and less than 2 miles from I65. The concert we were attending was literally around the block so we didn't have to drive as much as I originally believed. Had problems connecting to the internet. Finding restaurants in close proximity to the restaurant wasn't very easy but our stay and view from our room was pretty good. I wouldn't hesitate to stay and the Downtown Sheraton again in the future.”

• Staff was very friendly and efficient.
• The street name had been changed which made it very difficult to locate even with GPS. The security door lock was broken.

“The room itself had several maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. A swivel mirror had a screw that was loose, so nearly fell off. The security door lock was broken, and traveling alone, was of concern to me. The address of the hotel named on the internet was different than the real address (the street name had been changed). The staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient.”

• The room was beautiful and the bed was SO comfortable!
• The parking garage is on the next street and you have to PAY to park in it!

“We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was very helpful and the room very clean. The only downfall was the parking and that wouldn't have been a concern if we didn't have to pay to park.”
