  • The staff was such a big help for directions.
  • No dislikes.

“The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful. I would stay there again and it was clean and the staff was polite.”

  • The price was great.
  • The fishing hook embedded in my comforter that ripped my thumb open.

“If you get injured at this hotel, make sure you have your own first aid kit and that you insist for a written report (that you will have to proof read carefully).”

  • Location and the things around the hotel.
  • We had to get a smoking room and we are not smokers.

“Overall the hotel was excellent. Having the fridge and microwave in the room was great. Everything was very clean and the staff was very helpful.”

“It was satisfactory. We attended an amusement park 20 miles away, which was on a different time zone than the motel. When we were confused about breakfast, the employee kept out some breakfast foods for us, even though we were late. (Very nice.) We tried swimming early in the morning. The pool was in the shade and cold. Unappealing to parents and children.”

  • Staff was helpful and friendly and clean pool.
  • Rooms were dark and a smoke odor throughout the hotel.

“Although the staff was outstanding, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The room was outdated and small. Our room was in the non-smoking section, but the smoke smell was very strong.”

  • Quiet location. Liked having the fridge and microwave.
  • Didn't seem to have a close restaurant.

“Overall, my husband and I liked staying at this hotel. The room was comfortable and the shower was great. The hotel was in a quiet location. We will definitely stay here again.”

  • Conveniently located in town, friendly staff that knew the town and recommended places. The fresh baked cookies were yummy and nearby had a Riverwalk.
  • Breakfast could use fresh fruit and fresh pastries - a little skimpy on the food selection.

“Conveniently located in Jasper, with a scenic river walk available for a romantic walk or exercise program. Rooms were modestly furnished. Large outside pool for family fun.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Located between Holiday World and French Lick 30 minutes.
  • Hotel restaurant was closed for remodeling.

“Do not listen to other reviews. The hotel was clean and quiet. The rooms were recently remodeled. The breakfast was great. The hotel employees were very helpful in finding interesting places to eat. Being right next door to the movie theater is a major plus. Would stay here again if going to casino's in French Lick. 2 and 1/2 star hotel with a 4 star hotel employees.”

  • When we said the first room smelled bad, they changed rooms for us quickly.
  • The first room offered really smelled bad.

“Decent hotel for the money. There were ones closer to Holiday World and we will check them out next time. The first room offered really smelled bad, but they changed rooms for us quickly. The second room smelled ok, but had to go through the smoky section of the hotel to get there. They need to go smoke free.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[3] • Location:[4]

  • The property includes a Chinese restaurant attached. A multiplex movie theatre is also on the same lot.
  • Carpet in room was nasty. Staff was not helpful.

“This property has great potential. The Chinese restaurant attached looked promising, but we did not eat there because we were unaware of it until our late arrival. Also, there is a multi-cinema on the same lot. Staff was unhelpful and would not allow me to pay cash by reverse charging the credit card. They gave me a two day old paper. The carpet in the room was nasty, dirty and felt like it had been laid over another old carpet underneath. Room decor was outdated. Coffee maker was on a very low dresser and my two year old son turned it on and burned his hand on it in the morning. Bed was uncomfortable, maybe the mattress should be replaced. We have stayed in much nicer two-star hotels. Also, room had two doors, one to the parking lot and one to the hall. This didn't bother me, but this was really a motel, not a hotel. Breakfast was lacking and we ate down the road. I would stay there by myself, but wife and kids were not comfortable. If your going to Holiday World stay somewhere closer.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[9] • Location:[4]

  • This hotel had a nice pool and the beds were nice.

“The room was clean when we got there. The free breakfast was pop tarts, muffins, and bagels. The area they set the breakfast is smaller than the size of a hotel room and they expected you to try and sit in shifts at one of the 4 tables they had set up and move around in cramped quarters. When they say breakfast is over at 9 they mean it. The staff would take things away while you were waiting to get through the line. Also free cookies at night? I never saw them. The halls were dirty and noisy at all times! I would not stay here again!”

“It was an older hotel, most of the front desk help was rude. It was far enough place to sleep.”

  • Clean, quiet with helpful staff. Nice pool, playground with mini-golf.
  • Staff did not bring out breakfast stuff until everything was completely gone.

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[7] • Location:[7]

  • It wasn't a motel, I liked the fact it was a little more secure with all the doors on the interior.
  • Took 30 minutes to & from Holiday World & not much in the way of familiar restaurants close by.

“My daughter & I needed a place to stay overnight. We were going to Holiday World for 2 consecutive days. It was a nice place to lay our heads down. Nice big TV, plush pillows, great towels. Breakfast was fast & free. It wasn't overly exciting but fine. Basically, cereal, fruit salad, muffins & donuts. The biscuits & gravy were ok as well. They have free coffee in the lounge area 24 hours a day.”

  • Comfortable room for the price, very friendly staff, convenient location.
  • Dated amenities but acceptable for price.

“Stayed at this hotel for baseball tournament and decent facilities for rowdy baseball players. Ideal location, close to Jasper's baseball facilities. Appropriate amenities for price. Excellent German restaurant down the street.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • Friendly staff. Adequate facilities.
  • Anything other than fast food requires a cross-town trip.

“Good solid motel. Clean, but dated. Pricey for this type of motel, but not much else is available. The biggest drawback is that anything except fast food is on the other side of town for the most part.”
