• Location.
• Atmosphere.

“I can not recommend this hotel. The hotel was far from full, so you would think this could have been turned into come visit us again opportunity. The room was terribly loud with the sound of running water all night long (I honestly thought it would stop when the pool closed).”

• Not an easy access to the shops across street by walking.

“It was a good hotel for a comfortable place to stay. We were there for a wedding and it was a good place to crash, but the tv did not really work so I would not recommend it if you are staying at the hotel to relax.”

“Excellent staff and amenities at a good price but we made the mistake of staying at a Holiday Inn Express in the Wisconsin Dells and this was far far worse than rating.”

• Accomodation by staff to rectify a negative experience on the prior night.
• I was told I could not have an extra blanket when I asked for one.

“I booked 2 consecutive nites through priceline at two different times. The 1st nite had 1 king size bed for 3 of us (My fault. I didn't call ahead to make sure there were 2 beds). When I asked to change rooms I was told there were none. When I asked for an extra blanket to make up the fold out couch, again I was told there were none. I told the staff on the next morning that I was a little dissatisfied. They were quick to respond by making sure I had 2 beds the 2nd nite and comped our breakfast for the next morning. Having said all of this, at no time was ANY of the staff discourteous, I think it was just a little poor that the nite staff wasn't able to do a little problem solving by providing an extra blanket, bedspread, sheet, or something.”

“I was in the area for a family reunion, traveling with a 5 year old child. I had not stayed at a Marriott Courtyard for many years. This one was showing its age a bit but was clean. We enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool. The spa pool was dangerously hot. The room was small but very clean.”

• Perfect location to Valparaiso University
• Our room was next to a noisy hotel drain pipe which ran all night.

“Great location to visit Valparaiso University. Many nearby stores and resturants. Would be nice to have a complimentary continental breakfast.”

• Not a thing, it was a great experience.

“My daughter, grandson & I stayed one nite while in town for a family reunion. The entire staff from registration to maintenance and servers were helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay again when in the area.”

• I liked the price and the breakfast buffet.
• The rooms are dated and our vanity was pulling away from the wall.

“We have stayed at this location on several occasions and I feel the linens were looking worn, the rooms need updating and just do not seem as clean as I remember.”

• The staff was vacuuming the rooms next door at ten in the morning.

• I did not have to travel too far to get to it. Had no trouble finding it.
• No free breakfast!
