• In bad need of repair and cleaning.
• Rude staff.

“I stayed here during the week of October 6, 2009. The rooms were filthy, and the staff was very rude and unprofessional. The manager just simply didn't seem to care about the condition of the hotel, or the way his guest were being treated. It seemed to me that several staff members were drunk. I didn't feel safe here my entire stay.”

• Decent place for kids.
• I hated the entire stay left early to go home.

“This was one of my worst hotel experiences ever. We originally booked this hotel for 2 nights but left after the first night. The room furniture is old and outdated. The bathrooms need to be updated. The sink was low enough for a toddler to use. The carpet needed replacing, no Wi-Fi service in the room, and Lake Chubb was filthy.”

• I liked the lake view from the common areas and good breakfast.

“This hotel has some extras refrigerators, microwave and a nice water view. The breakfast was better than a typical continental breakfast.”

• There was so much to dislike about this hotel, I can't think of something good to say.
• Stained linens & plumbing was in disrepair. Medication from previous guest found in the middle of the floor.

“The hotel was in disrepair and when I brought these problems up with hotel staff when I arrived, they seemed disinterested. Bed linens were stained & plumbing was in disrepair. We were moved to another room and my young children found prescription medications in the middle of the floor. Ultimately, my family and I left the hotel in search of clean & safe accommodations else ware; we did not stay the night.”

• Location was ideal for our travel needs.
• No shampoo, conditioner or soap in bathroom.

“Overall, the hotel was a pleasant experience. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The full breakfast bar was adequate and saved us from making a trip through a drive through. I would definitely consider staying here again.”

• The staff was nice.
• Would need to have a elevator for people on the second floor.

“We were there over night. Had to switch rooms once and found some food on the floor in the last room. It seemed safe and the staff was nice.”

• Room had 3 beds.
• Hot tub did not work, pool dirty, construction debris everywhere, grounds needed weeding.

“I was very disappointed with the "resort" they were under construction but not very neat about it. We went out on the deck because the hot tub did not work and the pool was dirty and on the Lakeview deck were old doors that had been taken down just laying out on the deck. The outside had construction debris and weeds everywhere.”

• It was nice being over the lake.
• There were bees above our little deck I asked them to be removed when we checked in and they were not.

“It was nice being above the lake. The hotel was clean and very easy to get to restaurants and such. The pool area was clean and everything in working condition. The staff was polite and informative about surrounding entertainment. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will go back again.”

• The staff was friendly and helpful. Good location.
• The heater in the room was somewhat loud.

“For the price and location, the hotel lived up to our expectations. All we needed was a comfortable place to stay for one night, and that's what we received.”

• The staff was friendly and helpful in suggesting good places to go. The resort was 4 miles from the shore, and close to tons of good places to eat.
• The stagnant pond near by caused for a high volume of bugs at our patio door.

“ I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. The staff were awesome, the room had a beautiful view, and the continental breakfast was actually quite good. The hotel was very near to great "hometown" restaurants, and quite near to the beach. The resort was beautiful, you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere though you were actually in town. The spa was great, I'd highly recommend making an appointment before you go because they are booked, but they were able to fit us in and they amazing.”

• The room was nice and comfortable.
• Check-in was a hassle

“The hotel met our needs. It is a very nice scenic Suite Hotel, which allowed a family of 6 to stay in the same room. The pool was well heated; however, the whirl pool was closed down with possible "bugs" in it. The rooms appeared a little older and show some wear, but still was acceptable.”
