“In comparison with some of the other 2-star hotels, this is one of the nicest.”

“Nice lobby area, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms. Mattresses are a little on the firm side. Complimentary breakfast met expectations.”

“Was not happy at all. First time we got this hotel in that area and was very disappointed.”

“ It's an old motel that seen it's better days - seems hard to get to at the I-70 and US 41 Exchange that's been under construction for almost a year or more. This motel, I suspect, was built in the late 60's, maybe the 1970's. I suspect it's a new purchase and certainly new management. It's now a B CLASS or maybe C Class motel. Good and noticeable efforts had been made to keep it clean and repaired and fresh paint was noticeable when we walked in. I would not choose EVER to stay here again, but our plans had changed and we were looking for something close by for one night only at 8:30 at night. ”

“The key problem was very disturbing. Almost every time we came back to the motel, we would get to the room and the key would not work, twice we could not use the side door and had to walk around the motel and go in front door to get a new key. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. Room smelled like smoke - wish it could have been a non-smoking room.”

“I was disappointed that we could not get a smoke free room. I found the room to be old, smelly, damp and dreary. The hot breakfast was nice. Overall I don't believe the hotel should be rated higher than a 2.”

“Stop here whenever we go to State College, PA. Usually good place to stay. Do have problems with noisy refrigerators.”

“Overall I had a pleasant stay. I travel with a group of teen bible quizzers and usually have to stay in cheaper hotels, this was a very nice change of pace for the money I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the facility was. A little mold in the grouting in the bathtub, but other than that very clean. Plenty of hot water clean towels for everybody; we usually have to ask for more towels.”

“Broken heater in the room, no hot water, reeked of smoke, and then there is the down side with the loud hotel noise and inability to breathe and sleep in a warm room.”

“The hotel had the single worst bathrooms that I have ever seen. The bath tubs were rusty, the handles were falling off, and it was just digesting overall. The "non smoking" rooms smelled like smoke, and, when we got to our room, the window was wide open! They called us while we were out to tell us that we had no room because they did not have our reservation. They then tried to lie about why we had no room, and were very rude about it the entire time. I would not recommend this hotel to my enemy, let alone a family member or friend.”

“Easy on the pocketbook, but not as nice as other hotels in the area with the same star rating. Bathroom had mildew and the wallpaper was pealing. The mini-fridge had a loud buzz and the air seemed stale.”

“A nice Motel but lacks good management skills. When noise levels were too loud I was ask if I've ever stayed in a Rural setting before. Not the outcome I was expecting. When ask to be discounted was told someone would contact me. Never heard from anyone.”

“Location, right off of I-70 was excellent, front desk personnel helpful and friendly. Difficult to regulate temperature in the room; either freezing cold or hot and stuffy. Cleanliness of the bathroom was borderline - tough to tell how clean due to the age and wear.”

“No toilet paper in room, bed uncomfortable like a rock, old musty smell and water damage in halls and in room. And the security doors in the back of the hotel would not work on any key card. Had to have someone go to through the front of the hotel to the back to let us and others in. My rating: 1 out of 5.”

“For an economy traveler, this hotel will suit your needs fine. We normally stay at 4 star hotels, but none above a 2 star level in this city. It is what you should expect for 2 stars. The keycard doorknobs look 100 years old, and the bathrooms are under cared for. Otherwise, this could be a 3 star easily.”

“The room was very large for a hotel with comfortable beds and pillows. Hotel includes hot continental breakfast including waffles, eggs and biscuits with sausage gravy. The choices were good, though taste and quality needs to be improved.”
