• Attractive rooms and good drainage and water pressure.
• Parking was expensive even for chicago.

• The whatever whenever service was helpful and top notch. The vehicle transportation offered is unbeatable.
• High priced wireless internet.

“I absolutely love this and wonderful hotel. I called down to the whatever/whenever and the employee was wonderfully helpful multiple times. The concierge was incredibly helpful and friendly. I love the decor, the in room stereo, the huge flat screen TV, the shower head, the awesomely comfortable beds, the CDS and DVDS the hotel offers for use. There were hardback, pop culture books in the room to read.”

• Friendly staff, comfortable bed..
• For the price, have stayed at much better!

“When calling to request a room with one king size bed, I was given the run around. Upon arrival we requested the king bed again and were given a handicap room. The showers in those rooms are less than desirable. The W Lakeshore would never be recommended by me.”

• This hotel was great for a younger crowd. It had an excellent night life setting.
• The internet was expensive and wasn't even free in the lobby, either.

“The hotel was nice, had fancy items in the mini bar, and the room was decorated for relaxation. The bathroom was unique with a shower head that pointed straight down and a shower door that is only a glass sheet that does not move. Maybe not the best for a family, but fine if you're alone or traveling as a couple. There are telescopes on each floor to look out onto navy pier.”

• Location.
• Bathroom had sliding door which provided very little privacy.

“Great location. Friendly staff. Good presentation, but not great ( they change out the floor mats in the elevators to reflect the time of day [ie. Good Morning, Good Evening] but the mats are always rummfled up and thus are unattractive and present tripping hazards. Worst thing was bathroom in the hotel room. It had an opening to the main room that could only be closed off with louvered shutters (which offered no sound-proofing, and didn't even have a mechanism to secure them in the closed position). Also, the door to the bathroom was a sliding door that even when fully closed had about a half-inch gap between the door and the wall, meaning the person in the room could pretty clearly see the person in the bathroom.”

• It is a ten minute walk to the Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue.
• Some of the front desk staff were not very friendly.

• It's a very contemporary establishment with a great vibe! Perfect for a get away weekend.
• If I were to get technical, I would recommend "touching-up" some of the interior, painting, wall-paper, etc

“Overall, our stay was awesome. It was a great hotel and we were happy that Priceline was able to assist with it's booking. It suited all of our needs and provided and great atmosphere to boot.”

• It had a great location within 20 min walking of just about everything.
• Nothing. It was a blast!

“The W is definitely the place where the hip, trendy and the in crowd go. Although I wouldn't normally stay at a place like this, it was a great place to escape to for a weekend. The staff was great and went out of their way to take of our every need.”

• Great location near everything but away from the city-noise. Very nice.
• The cleaning could be a bit more conscientious. But I know my standards are high.

“I like the hotel and the staff. The location is great and the rooms and common areas are visually appealing and comfortable.”

• Accomodating staff. We were allowed to check in before 11:00am which enable us to change clothes B4 Ball game

• Walking distance to the Navy Pier, across the street from Lake Michigan. I liked sitting on the rocking chairs out front with a drink.
• Internet access was not free.

“Pleasant, modern. Lively bar in the main lobby, adjacent to the registration area. Folks who frown on drinking might not care for that. Tables and chairs, and rocking chairs with waitress service face the lake along the outside front wall off the lobby. Good size seating area in the lobby as well. The room was clean, the flatscreen hd tv was great and the beds were very comfortable. Somewhat less "hotel-ly" looking than the average. Nice window shades.The workout area was fairly good-sized. The equipment was clean and new. The treadmills had video screens. The indoor pool on the 7th? floor was in an airy enclosure with an outdoor sunbathing area with views of the lake. The elevator played dance and pop music, which is better than Muzak, but they could have lowered the volume some, it was kinda loud. No free internet access. They wanted something like $6.99 for 15 minutes. They had a bank of new Macs, and a printer or two. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.”

• Not compatible with younger children, but, I've never seen youngsters at any W.

• Contemporary decor & Acura drive service.
• Expensive parking - $48 per day.

“The W has an awesome location with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan and in walking distance from lots of shopping and attractions. The atmosphere of the hotel was fun and contemporary. We would definitely stay there again.”

• Bathroom with shutters to look into guest room. not very private.

“The hotel was fine. Definitely a younger crowd and I have heard that about this hotel. Looked like you were walking into a nightclub in the evening rather than a hotel lobby. That was at 10 when we returned from the theater.”
