• Room was comfortable and clean.
• Lock radio not set for Daylight Saving Time 6 months ago causing us to be late getting up.

“An older hotel but it has been kept up nicely. Furnishings are up to date and the bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. Being old, the walls and ceilings are well-built and we heard no sounds from within. However, this is the city and don't be surprised to hear sirens, trucks and garbage collection during the night. The windows open for fresh air if you want, but there are no screens.”

• The lobby is beautiful & there are smoking rooms available.
• Room was small.

• The hotel lobby and banquet rooms makes me want to have my wedding in Chicago.
• The concierge desk was not helpful. The lady was a bit rude, took too long on a phone call and forgot I had been waiting for 30 minutes to talk to her.

“The architecture of the hotel was very beautiful. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. There were several nice amenities such as water bottles and juice bottles. Our remote did not work but when I called the desk came up and replaced it promptly.”

• I have an appreciation for kindly service and helpful advice. The hotel lived up to its legend and history. Safe, spacious, convenient for meetings.
• Gym closed too early.

• Nice lobby.

“Not too bad. I think that this hotel could learn something from the Hyatt in Downtown Chicago, but it's a very old building so there's little they can do about the size of the rooms.”

• Great location, beautiful foyer. 2 bathrooms were great.
• The reception staff was not friendly at all. I've stayed at many 4 star and more hotels and have always felt very welcome. Not this time.

“The hotel was great. It was in a perfect location. They gave us a good room with a fantastic view.”

• Small rooms.

“Hotel was nice overall, but the rooms were kind of small. We had a king bed though. We were told the two double beds room was bigger. They also have an executive club level. Didn't see these rooms but I would imagine that they are much bigger.”

• Parking was expensive.

• The location and lobby were beautiful
• Spiders in the room, makeup on the pillow , The desk staff was not friendly at all.

“I would not tell anyone to stay for a relaxing visit, the staff at the desk was not nice at all. Room service people were nice and food was good, but there were two spiders in our room my husband killed and make up was all over one of the pillows. The rooms were not quiet at all we could hear the concert that was going on the street from the 8th floor.”
