“The hotel is nice, I like the fact that it was downtown and it's close to nearby attractions, all walking distance.”

“I will never stay at this hotel again. First the parking is horrible. We end up having to pay $42 for a one night stay because there was no in and out charges in the parking garage and I went to the manager and complained. We were reimbursed but only after we had to literally go to the parking attendant and make him tell the truth that there is no sign saying that in and outs are not given. There was no iron and board in the room and when the front desk was called and asked if I was able to get them I was told very flat and rudely that I needed to walk down the hall and get them and then she hung up on me! I was very upset and this was the worst stay ever!”

“Terribly small rooms, with 10-15 min waits for the one elevator working.”

“Location was excellent. Two people were staying in room but only enough towels for 1. We called but was never delivered.”

“I love staying in properties that have a European feel: smaller rooms (who needs all that acreage that one finds in US hotel chains?), well kept, rehabbed older building with lots of charm and character, friendly staff.”

“Staff was very nice. Lack of wireless Internet was a problem. No shampoo in the bathroom when I arrived. Old style TV (OK, but in upscale hotels I expect something better). Two of the elevators were out of service. To get to the health club I had to take a service elevator and wander through the basement. Views were great and the location was great. The room was comfortable although a bit small (not bad). They had a free bottled water system which was nice, it consisted of a spigot by the elevator with chilled filtered water and plastic bottles which were sealed. You filled up a bottle and you were set.”

“Very comfortable. The room was a little small but met all of our needs. The food at the restaurant was very good and the staff were very cordial and attentive. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.”

“Staff was wonderful. Location was great. Room was adequate and contained a fridge and microwave. Small but comfortable. Faded chair & curtains but a comfortable bed. Queen and full only, supposedly not king size beds. Very nice view of the river and city.”

“Good overall experience. Right next to Michigan Avenue, but at night it seemed to be a little sketchy outside and wouldn't want my wife to take a walk on her own. Chicago also needs to get some bum zap, because they're everywhere.”

“Our room at this hotel was so small that when we opened the door to it we thought it was a joke. You could barely turn around in it, my husband and I couldn't even stand side by side in the room. Also, it was about 70 degrees that day so the hotel decided to turn off the air conditioning so we were forced to open our windows which in turn meant we heard all the traffic outside of the hotel. I would not stay in this hotel again - if they can't afford to keep their air conditioning on I can't imagine the other ways they are cutting corners.”

“Perfect central location with easy access to public transportation and the Magnificent Mile, and Navy Pier. Room was really small, so if you needed to spend a lot of time in your room, you would want to request a room with at least two beds.”
