  • This hotel was more than willing to work with me.

“The staff is very helpful and informative.”

  • You could only use elevators with hotel key for extra security.
  • Bartender was rude and was not helpful at all.

“The hotel is nice, I like the fact that it was downtown and it's close to nearby attractions, all walking distance.”

  • Location.
  • Air conditioner made too much noise.

“Was in a great location. Great views of the river. Room was a little small, but comfortable and
clean.”

  • The lobby.
  • Everything else. I did not have a good experience.

“I will never stay at this hotel again. First the parking is horrible. We end up having to pay $42 for a one night stay because there was no in and out charges in the parking garage and I went to the manager and complained. We were reimbursed but only after we had to literally go to the parking attendant and make him tell the truth that there is no sign saying that in and outs are not given. There was no iron and board in the room and when the front desk was called and asked if I was able to get them I was told very flat and rudely that I needed to walk down the hall and get them and then she hung up on me! I was very upset and this was the worst stay ever!”

  • Elevator out of order on 4th of July weekend. Ridiculous

“Terribly small rooms, with 10-15 min waits for the one elevator working.”

“Great location near river and easy walk to public transportation.”

  • Hotel check-in was very efficient. Location.
  • Not enough linens.

“Location was excellent. Two people were staying in room but only enough towels for 1. We called but was never delivered.”

  • Its European feel: well appointed, smaller rooms, great building.
  • Can't think of anything.

“I love staying in properties that have a European feel: smaller rooms (who needs all that acreage that one finds in US hotel chains?), well kept, rehabbed older building with lots of charm and character, friendly staff.”

  • Not enough elevators.

“Hotel was excellent and helpful.”

  • Great location. Beautiful view of the Chicago River.
  • Wireless Internet worked on
    day 1, failed on
    days 2 & 3.

“Staff was very nice. Lack of wireless Internet was a problem. No shampoo in the bathroom when I arrived. Old style TV (OK, but in upscale hotels I expect something better). Two of the elevators were out of service. To get to the health club I had to take a service elevator and wander through the basement. Views were great and the location was great. The room was comfortable although a bit small (not bad). They had a free bottled water system which was nice, it consisted of a spigot by the elevator with chilled filtered water and plastic bottles which were sealed. You filled up a bottle and you were set.”

  • Location.

“Very comfortable. The room was a little small but met all of our needs. The food at the restaurant was very good and the staff were very cordial and attentive. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.”

  • Location and friendly staff. Parking was at 11 E Wacker, very close and if validated by CQ was only $20 a day! Bed was comfy.
  • Faded curtains & chair in room. Cobwebs.

“Staff was wonderful. Location was great. Room was adequate and contained a fridge and microwave. Small but comfortable. Faded chair & curtains but a comfortable bed. Queen and full only, supposedly not king size beds. Very nice view of the river and city.”

  • The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location, beautiful view of the river.

“I was disappointed that the hotel was undergoing renovations. Restaurant had limited hours.”

  • Free purified bottled water.
  • Staff seemed be be somewhat rude.

“Good overall experience. Right next to Michigan Avenue, but at night it seemed to be a little sketchy outside and wouldn't want my wife to take a walk on her own. Chicago also needs to get some bum zap, because they're everywhere.”

  • Fantastic location.
  • One of the staff memebers had an attitude.

“Could not ask for a better location in Chicago. Centrally located for shopping, site seeing and for dining.”

  • Location!
  • Message light blinked the whole time. Could not get to work or get staff to turn it off. Minor inconvenience.

“Excellent location. Quiet room (on 24th floor). Very clean.”

  • The hotel has a great location.
  • The room was so small I could barely turn around in it.

“Our room at this hotel was so small that when we opened the door to it we thought it was a joke. You could barely turn around in it, my husband and I couldn't even stand side by side in the room. Also, it was about 70 degrees that day so the hotel decided to turn off the air conditioning so we were forced to open our windows which in turn meant we heard all the traffic outside of the hotel. I would not stay in this hotel again - if they can't afford to keep their air conditioning on I can't imagine the other ways they are cutting corners.”

  • It was close to Morton's, The Steakhouse.
  • The high mark up on room service from their restaurant.

“I am not as likely to return to this hotel. I will more than likely look for something else if I need to stay in Chicago again.”

  • Great location & really good restaurant attatched.
  • Cramped. Elevators have no floor indicators.

“I
would stay here again based on price & location.”

  • Great location, friendly staff.
  • Room was small but clean.

“Perfect central location with easy access to public transportation and the Magnificent Mile, and Navy Pier. Room was really small, so if you needed to spend a lot of time in your room, you would want to request a room with at least two beds.”
