“Overall, a good stay, comfortable beds. The suite was small but nice. We just had an overnight stay but it was comfortable, convenient and clean. The late check-out was great. Need another set of elevators.”

“This is just about a perfect hotel for traveling with kids of any age. We had a suite with a separate bedroom for adults, a pull-out couch for one kid and a free rollaway for the second kid (older kids of different genders). Smaller kids could just share the pull out couch). Full kitchen in the room for any emergency kid meals/requirements. TV in both rooms so Mom and Dad could watch a movie after the kids went to bed. The breakfast buffet was terrific-lots of choices (fresh blueberries were a wonderful surprise!). Great service. Easy to get a cab from the front entrance. Fantastic location near Navy Pier, Water Tower Place, Michigan Avenue, every kind of shopping. Great price. Quality of furnishings/decor in room was average-very clean, well designed, but not first class-but at these prices and with these amenities, I'm not going to complain one bit. I'd stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.”

“This hotel was beautiful and in a great location close to downtown Chicago. We loved the free dinner (weekdays only) and the breakfast.”

“The location was great for downtown. Close to shopping and bars. Staff was helpful. Hotel was clean except for some repair work in the hallway outside our room; however that was not a problem. Bed was comfortable. Lots of room, nice kitchen area.”

“My experience on a one night new year's eve stay. This is typical Homewood suites. Excellent room, fresh and updated. Large, spacious, quiet. Pool and gym adequate. Proximity to city attractions, restaurants, excellent. An excellent it value!”

“Location was perfect, right by the river, just off Michigan aver. 16th floor, nice views. Room was very clean and quiet!! And the bed was just right. Large suite. Full-on breakfast buffet (free) was the best Iżve had anywhere, and they offer a free dinner buffet also (I didn't try it). The staff was friendly, and the waitress in the dining room was just super! This place isn't pretentious, just excellent in every way.”

“It definitely was more like a three-star hotel than 2.5. The location is excellent, centered near Michigan avenue, but close to the south loop attractions as well. Tons of local restaurants and stores within walking distance.”

“Wonderful hot buffet with restaurant-style seating and atmosphere. Nicely appointed rooms, all-suites with ample space. Only 1/2 block walk to the Metra red line; same distance to the free Navy Pier shuttle; close to restaurants and shops.”

“In a bird's eye view, the hotel is very close to "Magnificent Mile", yet on the ground it is hard to see this from the front door since the new mall blocks sight of N. Michigan from Grand Ave. Management should provide in every room a flier showing pedestrian directions through the mall to N. Michigan. Another flier should picture the generous in house amenities. This would come across more conspicuously than the very small card listing amenities, hidden among other items handed to me at check-in. Just these two things are so easy to implement, yet can be so helpful to guests, who typically have a very short time to orient themselves.”

“One of the best hotels in Chicago. Super location. Great room, nice little kitchen, bed was awesome, bathroom was huge, studio had sofa bed, even popcorn was left for us to make in the microwave.”

“The room and bell staff were excellent. Hotel not equipped with enough elevators and takes a lot of time waiting. They offered light dinner, but was not put together very well. Breakfast was even worse, ran out of food, didn't replace and staff seemed very disorganized.”

“This is a good hotel very centrally located and I enjoyed my stay. But There are equally good hotels with spacious rooms at $50 - $70 less per night.”

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was great for a family with its full kitchen and separate bedroom. The full breakfast and welcome dinner was a great perk and a huge savings that we took full advantage of. My wife and I could not think of a bad thing to say about our stay. Even the pool water was warm which is rare.”
