“This is an excellent hotel property. The lobby is inviting yet sophisticated and tastefully decorated. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love the chocolate chip cookie Double Tree Hotels are famous for! It is such a nice welcome token and delicious, too. The rooms are spacious and the new sweet dream beds are fabulous. I had a great night's sleep. While the bathrooms are a bit on the small side, if you shut the door, you would not notice as much. Nice extras in the bathroom, too. Even a facial scrub and lotion! Excellent choice in the Skokie/Evanston area.”

“The hotel was older in appearance. They are called DoubleTree Suites, but I would not call the room a suite. It was better furnished than a lesser class hotel and everything was comfortable, but it was a basic room with two beds, a chair, an office desk and chair, and a decent television. I did not utilize many of the services that probably earned the 2.5 star distinction. I was hoping to use the shuttle to get to an event nearby, but a driver called in sick and the hotel was unable to adjust and provide the normal service hours. I was told that I was getting a king bed room at check-in, but when I got to the room it was two doubles. When I called to verify, they said they were all out of kings. This should have been communicated at check-in to avoid confusion. As a result my wife and I had to sleep in separate beds, which was okay. The staff was a little noisy in the halls shortly after check in and also at mid-morning. Very clean hotel and room with a modern spacious lobby.”

“The staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the first room (non-smoking) room I was given had a foul odor. The room I was moved to was much better. However the room was very warm. No matter how low I set the thermostat, I could not get any cool air out of the vent. The staff explained they had not switched the building over from winter heat to summer cooling yet. The only way to cool the room was to open a window.”

“As soon as I walked in, I was already comfortable. The decor was stunning. There were no lines to check-in and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I had no problems finding my room or anything else. One thing that did turn me off was the pool. The pool is kind of small and it was a little dirty. Other than that I had an excellent time. Once in my room, I had no interruptions and they even had a newspaper waiting at my door in the morning! Loved it. I can't wait to go back!”

“My stay was quite brief, but I found the hotel to be comfortable and quiet, despite several activities in other parts of the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Because of the additional activity, one had to park quite far from the main entrance.”

“I was very happy with this hotel. It was clean, nice. They also give there guest hot homemade chocolate chip cookies at check in and out. My kids loved them. It was a very nice welcome to there hotel. I will stay there again when I go to Chicago.”

“This hotel is convenient to college campuses and shopping. We were disappointed that we had to encounter a disturbance in the halls that went on for about an hour and a leaky bathroom sink. Otherwise, it was a fair price for the stay.”

“The hotel itself appeared to be nice, however the room was too small for two beds, sheets did not smell fresh, no toilet tissue holder, had a new thermostat on wall that was not hooked up, had to use broken knobs in old heating system, it did not appear that I controlled the heating system because room was cold and I could not keep heating going.”
