• Cheap and they were quick to clean the room.
• Need taxi for CTA, good distance walk to Metro.

“Overall the room is clean and the staff are good, but it is far from major transport. You need a taxi to get to CTA or you can walk to Metro. Be wary, North-Central line does not run on weekends, but the train to Elgin does, you can walk to both Metros, but plan out the time.”

• Fair price and a good location.
• Windows does not close, lack of parking spot.

“Bad experience on this hotel. Lack of parking space for guest, no security equipments, my door latch is broken, window can be opened easily from the outside, front desk staff needs good customer service skills, and breakfast food needs to be improved.”

• Absolutely not one single thing.
• Dirty, smelly, burned blanket, curtain didn't close, unusable fold out couch.

“I have stayed at Super 8 before but I was so disappointed with this stay that I was embarrassed that my family had to stay there. It was so dirty when we arrived that we asked for the floors to be mopped and vacuumed. We had to wear shoes the entire stay because our feet were black from dirt. The toilet made a weird sound. The curtain did not cover the window. The fold out couch was of no use at all because the springs were poking out of the mattress. The blankets had cigarette burns and we are not smokers. The pillows had hair. It was the worst motel I have ever stayed in - ever! We were satisfied in no way. The breakfast area was so small we stood around and ate sparse items. There was not enough parking. Housekeeping would only leave 2 towels and wash rags each day which left me asking for more each night. I was told two nights there were no more so four people had 2 washcloths and 2 towels for two nights. I have never been that disappointed in a stay in my life.”

• Friendly, accommodating staff.
• Parking was ridiculously tight!

“This is a friendly clean place to stay. No frills but had all the necessary/expected comforts: cable television, fridge, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, alarm clock. Parking was super tight though.”

• VERY good for the price, not fancy but not scary in any way!
• The Wi-Fi worked on and off which could be frustrating but not that important to me.

“I was very satisfied overall. For the price I paid I've come to expect a less than standard experience but it was great for all of our needs. 15 minutes from Downtown with simple amenities within walking distance. Not a great neighborhood but not the ghetto. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and in good shape. Smelled normal which surprisingly as a traveler can be hard to come by. Internet went in and out, so I couldn't watch my Netflix movies but I wasn't there on business. Perfect for a safe decent place to stay. I will stay here again!”

• Very cheap, clean, and comfortable, basic cable TV.
• The pillow is too soft.

“The motel is very good for the budget limited traveler. It's a little far from downtown and drive to the closest train station taking about 5 min. I didn't try the internet and the breakfast of this motel so I cannot rate it.”

“This hotel was exactly what I expected. I didn't want to pay too much since I knew I wouldn't be spending a lot of time there. It gave us a safe and clean place to sleep. They even had a continental breakfast and the staff was very friendly.”

• Man at front desk very friendly, gave great directions to airport.
• Seemed In middle of residential area, confused while driving there.

“I echo the comment someone made earlier about parking being scarce here. The guy at the front desk let me park In a handicapped spot on the lot, though, so they must have heard previous negative comments. My room was clean, comfortable, and fairly quiet for the money paid. Good no-frills hotel.”

• Comfortable bed.
• Parking and worker at night desk.

“The first night was great. The second night (I had paid in advance) I could not use the room at all and had to drive home starting at 3 am, for an 8 hour trip after an exhausting day because they didn't have a parking spot for my room! I had never heard of such an awful thing before; I had a great room, but nowhere to park (they were an off location, on a busy street corner, no street parking, only a small lot). A motorcycle was parking in the space for my room, the desk clerk wouldn't refund my money and I was forced to drive back to Detroit from Chicago very tired, in the middle of the night and was not refunded for a room I couldn't use. They said I could illegally park on the sidewalk. I don't believe in breaking the law, so I refused. The night manager could have given me his parking spot and he could break the law parking on the sidewalk, but he never suggested that. They were crooks and frauds!”

• It is clean and economical.
• There is no pool, and the parking is kind of tight.

“I stayed for five nights on a business trip. I was not disappointed. The room was clean and well-maintained each day, the staff was friendly and helpful, and it had free high-speed wireless internet. The only downside was a shortage of parking and a sparse selection of TV channels.”

• The bagels at the continental breakfast were good.
• It was not clean, the staff was rude, and the perking was horrible.

“I did not like my stay at the Super 8. I will never stay there again. The room was not as clean as I expected. I didn't even feel clean after taking a shower there. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The parking was also awful. The staff was very standoffish with the exception of one employee.”

“Staff was friendly, but I almost checked out. I do not think my room was cleaned the first night of my stay. However, it was late and I did stay the night. The second day the room was cleaner, and I did spend the night. Laundry smelled like bleach and the floors felt sticky in the bath area.”

• The location of this hotel is nearby the International Airport, which is convenient to travelers.
• This hotel has no shuttle bus running to airport, which is not convenient to a traveler without car.
