• It was clean and very elegant feeling.
• They charged for wireless internet.

“We had a great stay. Our room were very clean. The staff was very helpful in helping find our way around Racine. We were able to relax at the bar after we had checked in. The pool and hot tub were clean and relaxing.”

• The room decor was attractive.
• The curtain rod was too high and water was getting on the floor.

• They did a good job with the remodeling.
• None.

“This hotel did a good job with its remodeling. I was very impressed. I used to stay here all the time, but the quality of the rooms deteriorated. However, I decided to give it another try after avoiding it for several years. I have to give them their props for doing what was needed.”

• Can usually trust the Marriott name to get a decent hotel.
• Could have a nice courtyard instead of an overgrown weed patch.

“Room was nice. Comfortable bed. Service was good. Courtyard was an overgrown weed patch but, with a little effort, could be made into a lovely place to sit under a shade tree and look nice out of the hotel window.”

• The bed was big and comfy.
• We asked for more towels. They never came. They charge $4 for a bottle of water.

“Overall, it was a good stay. The staff was nice enough, but when we called down for more towels, they never showed up. They automatically sign you up for newspapers which I had no interest in and charge you for them unless you call the front desk and cancel. We did. They came anyway. Food prices are big, needless to say, we didn't eat there. But overall, good stay.”

• Great king bed and linens, nice pool and hot tub, lovely bar.

“Easy to find off a main artery into Racine, yet quiet rooms, heard no traffic. Most impressive was the quality king bed and excellent linens - reason enough to stay at a Marriott again. Restaurant and bar were both clean, efficient personell and quality food, good menu. Liked the pool and hot tub area as well.”

• The room was newly remodeled and as nice as the 4star hotel I stayed in last month.
• The evening front desk staff was a bit rude and unaccommodating.

“Excellent deal, considering it is rated a 2 star. Minus accommodations i.e. mini bar, concierge, etc. This is definitely at least 3 star quality. Service could use some improvements.”

• Beautiful, comfortable beds.
• Smelled a little like a smoking room.

• Bigger pool than the average. Very roomy hotel room.
• I was charged for a bottle of water I didn't consume. Kind of pricy for a family. No continental breakfast.

“I like the hotel it is very nice. The pool is actually the biggest draw for my family. The draw back would be the overpriced water in the room and the overpriced room service. But on the whole experience it is a very classy hotel.”

• The staff was very eager to help. The bed and bedding was wonderful.
• A/c did not work I first room but staff brought new keys and changed rooms within in minutes.

“From the time we walked in the door staff was smiling and eager to help. We had to change rooms because our a/c was not working but was not much of a problem because bell boy brought up keys for new room within in minutes. Loved the decor in the rooms and the bed was outstanding. Over all it was a great experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• Very clean and recently updated. Good size room.
• For what I paid, no negatives.

“The current two star rating is too low for this hotel. It is at least a three, maybe a four. I was very pleased with my experience and the price I paid. A true value.”

• Front desk staff showed genuine concern for our health issues.
• No area for smoking in bar.

“3 star service, amenities. Staff very good. Pool and whirlpool among the better ones at a 3 star I have used. Although rooms are quite clean and nicely appointed, some renovation work is in order (for example, wallpaper was starting to peel in our room).”

• This hotel was very clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would stay again with no second thought.
• The only thing I did not like was that the hotel decor was somewhat late 70's or early 80's.

“Despite the outdated decor, if one figures the price, the service, the location, and the price and taste of the hotel restaurant, this hotel was a great. The beds are new and very comfortable.”
