“Room was in separate building that didn't smell as bad as front desk but still had a moldy odor to it. Bathroom was painted poorly with paint splattered everywhere and Kleenex holder broken with very sharp edges. Shower looked nasty so we skipped shower for the day.”

“I have never stayed in a hotel like this before. It was dirty, unsafe; there were holes in the walls, cigarette burns on all the furniture. Bathroom was filthy. Vending machines did not work, I called front desk 4 times for an ashtray only to be told they were out of ashtrays. There was mold all along the caulk of the tub and sink and the bathroom smelled like urine. Your description stated there was free wireless internet yet; the hotel said they only have hookups for internet in the lobby. It was late, after 8 pm when I arrived. I was suddenly overwhelmed with the smell of marijuana coming from one of the adjacent rooms. I called the front desk to complain 3 times and no one answered the phone at the front desk. I packed up and left the hotel at around 1 am because the filth and smell was literally making me feel ill.”

“Though far away from downtown, amenities are nearby for sustenance and some shopping , incl restaurants. Hotel is badly maintained, carpets smelly & worn out, aisle smelly like toilet, lobby furniture is really worn out. Hotel is currently under renovation - hope its better soon.”

“Even though my stay was prepaid, I left after only one night. My room door would not lock and the staff did not seem to be able to do anything about it. The lobby is under heavy construction, there is an unpleasant odor throughout the entire facility.”

“We had reserved the room for two nights at this hotel. The first night the room's shower did not drain and over flowed on the floor. There was mold on the ceiling. The air conditioner leaked like a waterfall. We complained and went to work, she said they would have a different room but to come back after 12pm. We had to work till 10pm. By the time we got to the hotel they were completely sold out, would not give us a refund. We could not afford to spend another $100 for a different hotel room. They let us use a different room that had a broken shower to sleep in due to the mold. The shower was completely broke The picket wasn't even on, it sprayed water out all the time, so the bathroom got all steamed up and everything was sopping wet. The bottom floor smelled like cat urine. The customer service was not helpful and didn't have standard supplies for their customers.”

“During my visit this hotel was under renovation and I stayed in a room that was "renovated". If that was the renovated room, I wonder how bad the non-renovated rooms are.”

“Construction and noise. A long walk to the L train station. The staff does not know the city or the public transportation, nor were they willing to help, except with hurried directions to the train. I would not send my worst enemey to this place.”

“Calls made to the hotel before our occupation were answered poorly. Among other things, they told me there was a pool when there was none. In person conversations were just as bad. Told them all 7 rooms were for 3 nights and they didn't carry that through, 4 rooms had to be re-checked into when the keys failed to open the doors. There were horrible smells where the breakfast was due to an overflowing toilet (think solids, not liquid) that no one bothered to clean up. Exterior security doors were incapable of being locked. One room had to be switched out because the air conditioner died in the middle of the night. All requests for extra towels were refused. Hotel was under renovation that was sorely needed but contractors spent as much time talking as working. Halls were completely torn up with an unsafe ramp in place of a set of stairs. Trees cut down on the site were left to rot. All rooms had tubs that drained very poorly leaving you standing in as much as 6' of water when finished. All carpeting was dirty, stained and torn. This was $1,600 that was very poorly spent, wish I had stayed anywhere else.”
