• It was clean, close to Great America, and we loved the breakfast.
• I wish the rooms were a little bit bigger, but otherwise we loved everything.

• The room was nice.
• The refrigerator was VERY smelly, the hostess gave us a room with 2 beds.

“Moderately priced hotel that provides customers with TV, video games and nice bathroom facilities. However, cleanliness and hotel staff service is an issue. Breakfast was only available for three hours very early in the morning, it would have been nice if breakfast had been available until at least 10am.”

• Convenient location.
• Lock on window was broken and first floor room was a safety concern.

“Overall, for the price, the hotel was a great. The breakfast line was ok, but both mornings the fresh fruit was gone and not replenished during our meal. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and we enjoyed the hotel.”

• Not an ordinary business hotel. The common areas and rooms make you feel like you're on vacation.
• The hotel needs a little cleaning. Not terrible, but noticeable.

“This is one of my favorite hotels. As a business traveler, you get tired of the same old looks. The rooms here are bright and fresh. I always feel a little better when I stay here.”

• The free breakfast and the fact that the pool was open till 11:00 pm.
• Nothing, loved it all.

“The hotel was very close to Six flags which is why we chose it and my grandchildren had a ball swimming in the pool that was open from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm! The breakfast they served from 6:00 am to 9:00 am was unbelievable! Most places that have continental breakfasts give you coffee, juice, cereal, donuts and toast but this place had waffles and eggs besides all that all it was all free! I was very impressed. Took away the cost of going our for breakfast. The rooms were lovely and the beds, I can go on and on about those mattresses. My husband and I could only dream of having one so comfortable. If ever in that area again, La Quinta would be my hotel of choice.”

• I was happy to see that the hotel/room was clean.
• I wish it was more kid friendly. (arcade, little more spacious).

“We came up the Gurnee to spend the day at Great America. We needed a place to stay so we can shower and rest from the long day there. It's nice to have all the bells and whistles at a hotel but we just needed the basics for this trip. Also we didn't want to spend an arm and a leg just to sleep and shower. Our main concern when choosing a hotel for this short trip was to stay at a clean hotel, have a pool for my two kids and close location to great America. We definitely found what we were looking for. We had no problems during our stay and would come back again. Oh my husband wants me to add that the complimentary breakfast was a nice too.”
