• Location.
• Very loud. Walls and doors are thin.

“The location was perfect. My only complaint is the noise. The walls are thin and my door had at least a 2 inch gap between the bottom of the door and the floor. There were several weddings while I was there and was woken up constantly between 1 am and 2 am when people returned to their rooms drunk and talking loudly. The room next to me had their alarm set for 6 am and it continued to go off every 5 minutes for 40 minutes. I had the pleasure of hearing that for 2 days of my 5. For these reasons I would not stay here again. Not one night did I get a good nights' sleep.”

• Very nice, clean, great location, next to shopping and highways.
• Parking was difficult. Small spaces, and need to take two elevators. Hard with kids and luggage.

“Comfortable and elegant hotel. A bit hard to cart luggage and kids back and forth to car, but if no kids then a great place to stay!”

• A couple blocks off the main drag. Handy access. Free Wi-Fi in room and elsewhere.
• No complimentary breakfast! No USA Today delivered to room. No statement under door when leaving.

“Bed was EXTREMELY comfortable. My only dissatisfaction with this place was I had to wake up and get out of bed to get to my business engagement. Otherwise could have comfortably slept till noon.”

• I loved the friendly, helpful staff, the clean rooms, and the comfortable atmosphere.
• There was nothing to dislike.

“I was totally impressed with my stay at The Doubletree, as I always am. I've never met a staff member that wasn't friendly or that wasn't more than happy to help with any questions or needs. They are always so clean and well kept. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• Friendly people, comfortable, clean rooms, and great location.
• Not much light with no attendants in garage, kind of scary if you're by yourself.

“Hotel was at a great location, close to everything, and some within walking distance. Rooms were clean and comfortable, ample supplies in room. There were a lot of activities going on around the hotel. Lots to do.”

• Maintenance on this particular room was poor.

“Exterior appearance. Lobby area and hallways are nice although not four star. We have stayed here before with no problems but this time our room was poorly maintained.”

• Next to a mall and it is very safe by all means.
• Far away from parking area to elevators.

“Everything looks good. The only thing we do not like is that we have to carry our luggages 200-300 feet going through meeting rooms to the closest elevators. If this is not a problem, it is great. Free internet. If you like good restaurant, it is next to a mall with lot of choices.”

• Staff was arrogant, lied about not having a king room available.

“Nice hotel, staff lied about having a king room available, first put me in a room right above a large air conditioner which was loud. The hotel was great overall. Look out for yourself and all will be ok.”

• The staff is great. And, the facilities are very nice.
• Water pressure was terrible.

“Very close to the Oak Brook Mall, restaurants of all varieties & price levels. The staff is among the friendliest that I have encountered, and they are consistently so - even if there's a problem to solve. Parking is convenient, and the internet service works well. The water pressure in the shower is substandard, and the plumbing in general seems to be needing some updates. However, the bedding & pillows are among the best you'll find anywhere at any price. A very comfortable hotel & a very pleasant experience overall.”

• Great location, easy access to everything we wanted to see.
• We enjoyed Chicago style foods needed a microwave to reheat leftovers.

“Everything was great with the exception of the microwave. Very professional, clean, business atmosphere, very classy, we understand the intent may be to have guests dine in the restaurant in the hotel but Chicago has great food attractions away from the hotel as well that being said our stay was still excellent. Would definitely recommend hotel to others.”

• The room and location was ideal for Chicago traveling, plus parking was free.
• Traffic to the city can be tricky.

• Staff was very willing to be of service, very helpful.
• Pool area had used towels laying all over the place.

“We stayed here overnight just one night but were quite impressed with the hotel staff. They were extremely helpful with directions, with setting up a pack-n-play in our room, and kept asking if there was anything else they could do for us. Oh and I couldn't forget the awesome cookies they gave us!”
