• The fitness center was excellent and clean and the hotel was close to shopping, dining, etc. Very convenient.
• Staff was ok nothing "over the top". The room was not as immaculate as I expected for a hotel, but wasn't dirty.

“This hotel was very nice. We were on a side away from the highway and the room was quiet and bed was very comfortable. We asked for a refrigerator and it was placed in our room while we were out (no additional charge). We were in Chicago to see friends and shop, and this location was excellent; being across the street from the mall & great restaurants, 30 mins from OHare, and about 30 mins from the outlets in aurora. The fitness center was great; most Ive seen are sparse, but this one had much room and equipment. I would definitely stay here again.”

• The pool and the friendly, professional staff. The 1 pm standard checkout was really beneficial.
• Almost perfect--more restaurants in restaurant guide would be better.

“Highly recommend. Very comfortable mattress, quiet, very clean. 1 pm standard checkout is a big plus, as is the location adjacent to prime oak brook center shopping.”

• Good location, they didn't charge for parking, bed and bedding were comfortable.
• Certain aspects of the room had not been updated in 25 years.

“Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Adjacent Starbucks was convenient. Bedding and shower head were among the only updates to the room in the last 25 or 30 years. Hotel is very convenient to shopping and dining.”

• Very clean close to several things to do.
• Unfortunately, I was situated next to a room with younger kids that was very noisy. However they offered to move me and gave me a free breakfast.

• Gorgeous lobby, lovely pool, great location and comfortable rooms.
• The TV was old and of average quality.

“This hotel is in a great location right across from Oak brook Mall. There is plenty of free parking. The lobby is gorgeous and the check-in staff was very friendly. My special requests were happily honored. I loved the room from the ultra-comfortable spa style bed and bedding to the over-sized tub and separate changing area. This hotel is not to be missed!”

• Convenient to Downtown and dining.
• The mirrored closet doors were broken, so we were unable to access the closet.

“The staff was super-friendly and they were very accommodating when we asked for directions, etc. Also, the room was nice for a one day stay, we felt welcomed.”

• A refrigerator was brought to my room because I had perishable with me.
• The parking space was very tight.

“Clean but cramp room. Too many pieces of large furniture, especially the desk. Good for business traveler.”

• Bed and bedding were excellent quality.
• Room was converted from smoking to non-smoking.

“The room I was given was supposed to be non-smoking, but had evidently been a smoking room at some point. The smell was acceptable, especially with an open window and the drapes and bedding were fresh, but there were burn marks on the bathtub, sink, and guest services book. The carpeting probably needed to be replaced, as there was a very slight lingering reminder of the room's former days.”

• School groups were there at same time, elevators slow.

“Good location for my stay in Chicago. Only negative which is not exactly hotel fault is the school groups that were also there, made the usage of the elevators difficult at peak times of the day.”

• The beds were amazing, slept like a rock!
• Undergoing some construction/renovations, noisy.

“The hotel was nice with great beds and friendly staff. Very clean rooms, great pool, hot tub and work out center. Breakfast Buffet was great, Star bucks in the hotel! Only annoying things was the roof construction noise and the constant conferences and trade shows (they pretty much invade the entire lobby and crowd up the place).”

• It was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.
• The under age kids drinking/parting in the hall.

“There were a group of under age teenagers partying/drinking in the hallway of the 5th floor. They were loud and disruptive. I attempted to call the front desk 10 times the line was busy. Never got satisfaction from the front desk. Had to threaten the kids with the police at 2 am. I really enjoyed my stay I just didn't like that I had no way to get a remedy for the inconvenience that I endured. I would like a response so I know what I can do next time. I paid a lot of money to stay there and didn't feel I got my moneys worth due to lack of services.”
