• It was very clean and the staff was polite and friendly.

“This is a very nice hotel. I really enjoyed my stay there from the time I walked in the door to register. The staff was friendly and very respectful. Also the room was warm and very clean. All the linen was clean and fresh.”

• No security at night. Doors are unlocked and desk clerks are not available at night.

• Great location, fridge, microwave, stove, breakfast bar, desk. Everything was great.
• The smell of smoke on floor we stayed, but not bad.

“Great location to stay if visiting Chicago. About 20-25 minutes to Downtown, easy access, free parking, and great restaurant very close by. Really like the full size fridge, microwave stove, pots and pans, silverware, desk with wireless, and the windows open. Great Place and we will go back.”

• The kitchen in the room was great.
• The bed. Hard, uncomfortable, sheets that come off.

• Located on a fairly quiet street.
• Room dirty, bedding dirty, accessories in room dirty, deadbolt on door broken.

“Deadbolt on door did not work, there was hair on the pillowcases and the bedding appeared dirty with cigarette-burn holes in blanket and bedspread, coffeepot was filthy and silverware had the remains of dried food stuck on it.”

• That I left.
• The staff that carpets the smell of garbage.

“The first floor smells like trash. They spray the lobby heavy to try to cover this up. They lock the vending machines up at 11 p.m. So if you want a soda or candy bar after 11 forget it. And if there is something wrong with the room you have to tell them 3 or 4 times before they fix it.”

• Plenty of privacy. They still had smoking rooms.
• The staff was very rude and up-charged for double bed.

“Overall, it was a very positive experience. Parking was free (For Toronto, that's a very good thing!). The room was very clean and spacious. It had a cozy atmosphere that made me want to stay longer. I would stay at this hotel again without a moments thought and I would certainly make more of an effort to make the lady at the front desk smile because she looked tired.”

• I like the wireless internet and overall cleanliness.
• I think the hotel staff can communicate better with one another about guests.

“I stayed at homestead studio suites for 3 weeks in December 2007. As a medical student I needed to be real close to Hinsdale and LaGrange hospital. It's in a very quite location, and it was half empty during my stay. They had high speed wireless internet ($4.99 per stay), laundry facilities, no breakfast/coffee, weekly room cleaning, fridge, microwave, stove, and few utensils. All and all I had no problems and was very happy with this hotel.”
